Thank you Greyhound!

"In the moment, we never know what our place in a larger lineage of struggle is going to look like. Sometimes, we win. Sometimes, we keep hope and decency alive. Sometimes, we build countercultures that give the next round of resistors a sense of who they are and what they’re made of."

Today would have been Coretta Scott King’s 98th birthday. She was more of an activist than MLK when they met, his political partner, & the “family leader” on issues of global piece and anti-colonialism. From my research for KING OF THE NORTH: www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...

An antidote to facism is more community.

The now-shuttered eatery, located in one of the city’s poorest districts, was a crucible for artists, vegetarians, and people who found mainstream society too apathetic. In full: buff.ly/K4TERRf

“It makes a massive difference when everybody involved is able to get together and sit down to have a hot and substantial meal filled with nutrients before having a standoff against bailiffs, security guards and cops in the sun”

Black Window was an integral part of the Sham Shui Po community as well as the broader autonomous/anarchist milieu in Hong Kong. Read our wide-ranging 2021 interview with them here: lausancollective.com/2021/buildin...

My favorite MAGA argument right now is, "If we give everyone due process, we'll never be able to deport 12 million people." True! Also true: If we give everyone due process, we'll never be able to kill all left-handed people. If your plan requires suspension of due process, your plan is bad!

"As authoritarian forces try to separate our communities, we must act to defend each other, knowing that our fights — and our collective survival — are intertwined." [email protected], Toby Beauchamp, Damian Vergara Bracamontes truthout.org/articles/saf...

my latest is out with @theappeal.org I've been thinking about the relevance of this piece for right now. we've all been talking about due process. if this system of imprisoning some people not as punishment, but to prevent future crimes exists, none of us can be free. theappeal.org/sex-offense-...

If anyone #onhere attends the School of Visual Arts here in NYC, please holler at me.

“Imagine a world where there are tool libraries in every neighborhood, and they’re third spaces for people to hang out without having to spend money,” she said. “There are potlucks to share food, and urban farms.” truthout.org/articles/no-...

Are you an editor with interest in a 1300-word OpEd on Israel’s now-admitted execution of 15 emergency health workers that puts this massacre—and lies about it—into context by drawing from peer-reviewed evidence of Israeli targeting of hospitals and health workers over 18 months?

"In an earlier post, she wrote: "As for the inevitable death, if I die, I want a loud death, I don't want me in a breaking news story, nor in a number with a group, I want a death that is heard by the world, a trace that lasts forever, and immortal images that neither time nor place can bury."

Tenants in the Bronx fought the owner of their building for over a decade to get basic repairs made. Last week, in a rare move, the city removed their landlord as owner, clearing a path for the residents to take over the building themselves: as a co-op.

kind of a crappy day personally, but it's very nice to see what my students are learning from the wonderful @victorialaw.bsky.social 's wonderful book, Corridors of Contagion.

they have been doing this, they’re just admitting it now that means they’re also doing a whole bunch of other shady shit that you’d prefer not to believe bc they aren’t admitting it 🤡

To me, this is the easiest layup for DC Democrats. Go to the IRS, chain yourselves there and raise the alarm about this so that USians understand what they are doing.

First batch of cards from @marc-fischer.bsky.social arrived! More on the way. For now, leaving them in the 💌 mail room 📬of my apartment building. Great way to reach lots of people at once--especially people who rely on the USPS for crucial things.

After many great suggestions from librarians, this protest postcard is being printed and I should have 4,000 copies on hand in a week. I hope people in the field like the way it turned out. Thanks to everyone that gave me feedback. We made it together! I'll post a link to get copies when it's done.

People really DO NOT know. So many people thanked me for the handouts I shared today. Even less people know about the post office stuff.

It's a blessing when people who don't have to help you, do.
