#WordWeavers 5/21: If your MC had to hide in their house, where would they hide? There are a few tarps out in the garage... I'd say he would sneak under one of those. In my story, persons are hidden away under sailing fabric so he would clearly see the connection to the tarp material.

#OnThisDate On May 20, 1609, a publisher named Thomas Thorpe entered a book entitled "Shakespeare's sonnettes" into Liber C of the Stationers' Company. www.stationers.org/news/archive...

#pretendpanel calendar for the month of May The theme is festivals (or conventions/retreats/workshops etc) because I'm going to two back to back! Let's compare notes, fellow writers βœ’οΈπŸ“–

#WritersLifeMonthly My theme reverberates throughout the story - it moves the narrative along from beginning to end

#WritersCoffeeClub 20. Pick two other writers’ works that would pair well with yours. Mark Twain's story of Huckleberry Finn would be a good pairing. David S. Cecelski wrote The Waterman's Song - a nonfiction book about world of slave & free black fishermen, pilots, and rivermen. It's excellent

#WIPSnips 5/20 NEON - not in my story which takes place in 1752. Neon was discovered (1898) by the British chemists Sir William Ramsay and Morris W. Travers as a component of the most volatile fraction of liquefied crude argon obtained from air. www.britannica.com/science/neon...

Happy World Bee Day! #SaveTheBees

This is connected to the dismissal of the Librarian of Congress. They're making a run for copyright so that they can pillage the library's contents to feed AI (LLM, image generators, etc.). Authors and artists alike should be concerned. #Booksky #Romancelandia

79-year-old Donald Trump says that 75-year-old Bruce Springsteen looks like a dried out prune. Is the senile old man projecting again?

But '8647' is a threat? "...ought to KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT until he gets back into the Country...Then we’ll all see how it goes for him!” Donald Trump on Bruce Springsteen

Do you have a Little Free Library near you? It's Little Free Library Week. #LFLWeek victoriamillerston.com/Blog/Happy-L...

Nor do I #NoAI

I do .ot use any AI generative in my work. Every syllable, word, sentence, paragraph and page came from my imagination, research, and work.

School supplies for children will be more expensive. So many wonderful caring teachers use their own limited dollars and resources to help fill in gaps. Trachers and students will need help this coming year, anyway.

I’m so proud to be a librarian and a member of ALA. Thank you for fighting for us.

As a Friend of my local library, I maintain two Little Free Libraries in my small rural county

In honor of #LFLweek! Drop the charter number if you've got it, too 😊

#WritersCoffeeClub May 5 Have you ever worked through a bad experience by writing fiction? I don't think so. Writing puts too much joie de vivre into my life for it to ever become a bad experience. #amwriting #writingcommunity #booksky #historicalfiction
