my favorite david lynch quote is courtesy of angelo badalamenti who told the story of composing the music for twin peaks. lynch described laura palmer in the woods, badalamenti played the keyboard, and then lynch yelled "THAT'S SO BEAUTIFUL! THAT'S TEARING MY HEART OUT, ANGELO!"
