In the Mario Kart trailer, Nintendo subtly tells players that they can already play GameCube games on PC without having to pay a subscription.

Nintendo money tutorial: Open initialization (.ini) file > Change 4 lines > Sell the update as a Switch 2 upgrade > profit EZ

The foolproof method to defeat zombies was literally invented in the 14th century.

Nobody ever talks about the era where games felt the need to compete with Facebook and launch their own useless companion apps.

I feel dirty playing Halo with a DualSense but it's truly the best controller I've ever used.

The Last of Us and Horizon are so incredibly mid and I'm tired of pretending they're not. Instead of Killzone, Infamous, Bloodborne, or any number of abandoned franchises, we get endless re-releases of a Walking Dead game and Ubisoft Monster Hunter. Sony is lazy.

I don't like the art style of Avowed and I have no idea why. Same with Monster Hunter and New World. They all share a specific look that I can't really describe. It's frustrating because I want to like the visual style of these games but I just don't.

I can smell the gaming chair from here. Also, the name and pfp is pretty ironic because the Fallout TV show has a they/them character.

Using yellow paint or hanging rope to indicate a climbable surface is dumb. It should be an off-by-default accessibility option.

Even though Bad Company 2 was the best Battlefield game for many people, re-releasing it today would be a mistake. By today's standards, gameplay would feel clunky, frustrating, and cheap. I know it's a hot take, but the best version of BC2 multiplayer right now is in 2042's portal mode.

Rocket League but it's on the water and no one can control their boat because it's a boat with rockets and you can't boost or hit the ball or score a goal because the waves will be too high and unpredictable from all the rocket boats zooming around and

Didn't see GTA VI or Hollow Knight trailer at Super Bowl. 0/10.

The amount of sales Nintendo would get if their games were cross-platform would be insane. They would be permanent top sellers on every platform.

Fun fact: Halo was first publicly revealed at Macworld in 1999. It was going to be a Mac game just like Bungie's previous titles.

Don't buy a remaster on console if it's just the maxxed out PC version rereleased. They are lazy and don't deserve your money. You can survive without rebuying a game you already own.

All the hours spent with this thing and I don't think I ever opened the news or weather channel on the Wii menu.

Maybe if they didn't lock every character behind a paywall, more people would be playing Multiversus and it wouldn't need to shut down.

Mario is the hero we want, but Luigi is the hero we need.

Fun fact, the original code for Ninja Gaiden II Black was lost, so the remaster was a much bigger endeavor than most people think.

The more realistic a game tries to be, the worse it gets. This is also true for simulators to an extent. The 3 biggest games in the world (Minecraft, Roblox, Fortnite) are probably the furthest you can get from real life. A good game is about responsiveness and visual clarity. Not realism.

Okay, we have enough Operators. It's time to make a new Rainbow Six campaign.

Even though EA lost 6$ billion, the executives will fire so many people in order to preserve their personal raises and bonuses. Their failure is never the fault of developers, but always those that do the layoffs.

Ninja Gaiden, Gears of War, Doom, and Expedition 33 are all upcoming games that show Xbox might make a pretty big comeback. If all of these games including the next Halo succeed, we could be in a second Xbox golden age that ends with Elder Scrolls VI.

I believe, in a couple of years, the Starfield modding community will transform that game into something incredible. It's got a strong base to build on but the issue is, unlike Skyrim, it's so lacking in pretty much everything so projects will take a while.

The inauguration really inspired me to replay Wolfenstein because there's no game series more patriotic in my opinion.

It should be an industry standard for consoles to be fully backwards compatible.

Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla were pretty good but they should not have been Assassin's Creed games. They should've branched off into a separate action combat RPG series. Assassin's Creed was peak when it was a parkour/stealth game.

If you haven't seen Secret Level on Amazon, you're missing out big time.

If you're brand new to the RPG genre and don't know where to start, try one of these: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Baldur's Gate 3 Mass Effect Red Dead Redemption 2

Very interested in what the Switch 2 tech specs are. It absolutely has to be as good as a Steamdeck, especially when you're required to pay extra for their horrible half-baked online features.

The DualSense is the only good PlayStation controller.

I expected this but I'm still glad Nintendo is at least trying to make an improved version of something instead of just moving to a new gimmick nobody wanted.

We're at a point where high-end games are playable on handheld devices. With Nintendo and Valve's success, an Xbox handheld would make the most sense for Microsoft's next console. An Xbox hybrid console with backwards compatibility, xcloud, and Gamepass would thrive.

Nintendo always trying to shut down emulation just makes me want to do it even more. I own a Switch and purchase the games I want. But I play them on PC with max graphics mods. I will continue to do this because it's a better experience.

The next Star Wars Battlefront game needs to have epic multiplayer campaigns on massive continents with hundreds of players fighting over territory. I want a Star Wars version of Planetside 2.

I like how my teammates progressively get worse as I rank up in Marvel Rivals.

Hell Let Loose is free on Epic launcher right now. It's an exceptional multiplayer WWII mil-sim and needs more players.

Nevermind, not a hot take. The leak just solidifies an unfortunate reality. Nintendo really just sucks now. Nothing redeemable anymore.

This is a real comment I saw (paraphrased because the grammar was nonexistent): "I'm getting so sick of woke games. We just want to play something fun without DEI characters being shoved down our throats. These characters never have good writing and always feel forced." Meanwhile, Halo 2 from 2004

Hot take: whenever it comes out, if the Switch 2 can't outperform a PS4, you shouldn't buy it. A Steam Deck would be a much better value.

Why tf can Jeff ult me if I'm 50ft above him??!!?!?!?? isweartogodimgonnaturnhimintosharkfinsoup

A big Marvel Rivals character wishlist (excl. characters already leaked): Green Goblin Ghost Rider Quicksilver Rhino Elektra Miles Morales Thanos Beast Mysterio Electro Gamora Iron Monger Taskmaster Doc Ock

10 Games with the best open world maps (excluding random generated): 10. Cyberpunk 2077 9. Assassin's Creed Origins 8. RuneScape 7. Skyrim 6. GTA V 5. WoW 4. Elden Ring 3. GTA IV 2. RDR 2 1. Arma 2 Honorable Mention: I'd put Microsoft Flight Sim at 1 but I feel like that's cheating a little.
