Cannot get over how excellent Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is. Pete’s battle with the Scorpion was astonishing. I had a LOT of reservations about the characters and art style, but this is a true love letter to the comics. Adored it!

📽️ Wrote a little bit about how we’re living in the forgotten era of film, and how much it blows. With the fragmenting of pop culture, will we ever recapture the feeling of easily discovering a hidden gem? I really hope so.

I am so excited for the new Astro Bot Winter Wonder DLC. Astro Bot is the first game my 3-year-old daughter watched me play from start to finish, and she is absolutely obsessed with Christmas. She is going to LOSE HER MIND when she learns we have a new level to play.

📽️ I haven’t posted a movie review in a little bit, so let’s fix that. I finally caught Twisters, and had way too much fun with it. It’s very good!

Happy birthday to me! Maybe my hardest challenge today… deciding which of the 13 movies stacked on my shelf to watch. 😳 I am soooo behind on movies. Maybe Furiosa?

It was a good year for gaming! #XboxYearInReview

Finally have a moment to eat a big ol’ slice of pumpkin pie and watch Skeleton Crew. Life is pretty ok.

My favorite Thanksgiving tradition is eating a slice of pie while watching White Christmas. The new 4K transfer is STUNNING 😍

Not sure what happened today, but my followers have exploded! Hello, new followers! 👋 Now I feel like I need to post here more regularly and not just drop links to my latest movie reviews…

📽️ I watched Salem’s Lot so you won’t have to. 🫡 Dreadful from start to finish. Check out my review on The Film Legacy!

📽️ Today, I’m talking about Wolfs.

Bluesky now has over 10 million users, and I was #174,703!

📽️ Today, I’m reviewing Upgrade. This gritty cyberpunk movie is lean, inventive, and has a great central mystery. I had a lot of fun with this one! Can’t believe I totally missed this one when it first released!

📽️ I liked The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare so much that I’ve seen it twice in the last month. As the father of a two-year-old, that is quite the ringing endorsement. Pure comfort food, and a ton of fun. Check out my full review!

📽️ Hard to believe I’ve never seen Twister before. I had a lot of fun with this one! Check out my review…

📽️ I revisited The Greatest Showman recently, and this film is so damn fun. The bombastic musical numbers, the electrifying choreography, the over-the-top melodrama—it all comes together to form a rock-solid film that mimics the energy one might find at a raucous circus show. Check out my review!

📽️ Today, I’m reviewing Train to Busan. This South Korean horror film is one of the best zombie movies I’ve ever seen. As haunting as it is heartfelt, Train to Busan is perfectly paced, teeming with tension, and as action-packed as they come. And hey, you can stream it on Peacock. Enjoy!

📽️ Hit Man is taking households by storm this week, and mine is no exception. What a fun movie! It’s a delightful mix of romance, comedy, and thriller. I had a great time with this one. Check out my full review on The Film Legacy!

📽️ Today on The Film Legacy… I watched Atlas so you don’t have to. It stinks!

📽️ Today, I’m reviewing Treasure Planet. Oddly enough, this is the first time I’ve seen this movie! And I thought this was a good opportunity to dig a little into the legacy of an older movie in a review. As always, thanks for reading!

📽️ For the evening crowd… please check out my review of Past Lives.

📽️ Past Lives is an astonishing film. It spoke to my soul. It’s a beautiful, melancholic story of missing connections, the roads not taken, and finding closure. I loved this one, and I’d venture to say you might too. Please check out my review. Enjoy!

📽️ It’s Friday, and that means you might be looking for a fun movie to watch tonight. Well, I implore you to skip Unfrosted. This Pop-Tarts origin story is perhaps one of the least funny comedies I’ve seen in quite a while. There’s a lot of good stuff out there, don’t waste your time on this.

📽️ Today, I’m back with a new blog talking about fatherhood. This is the story of all the careful planning I did to prepare for my daughter’s first movie experience, and how my plans (naturally) fell apart. So grab a cup of coffee, and have a laugh or two as I tell this tale.

📽️ I wanted to like Argylle. I really did. But Argylle is a jumbled mess, never fully committing to the action, espionage, or comedy genres. Argylle is the cinematic equivalent of throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks.

📽️ Today, I’m talking about Wish. It’s a simple tale that did not deserve the deep-seated vitriol it received upon initial release. It certainly has its flaws, but Wish has enough charm to make it worth experiencing - especially if you have little kids. thefilmlegacy.com/2024/04/10/w...

Couldn’t have picked a better day to finish Nocterra

She won’t remember it, but I always will. #eclipse2024

📽️ Today, I’m talking about Napoleon. It had some great battlefield sequences, but this is not a movie I can recommend.

📽️ So many people have been reaching out, clamoring for my review of what is undoubtedly the first big movie of the year. Give the people what they want, right? Here’s my review of the musical remake of Mean Girls!

I always love when I start a new show and I’m on the fence, and then a moment happens where I’m suddenly 100% all in. Happened tonight while watching Mr. & Mrs. Smith. LOVE that feeling.

After two months, I have finally hit 100% on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt with all achievements unlocked. Death March is an unforgivable difficulty! Had a great time with the game, but ready for something different now. 😵‍💫

I’m just shouting into the void here, but it’s incredible that Isaac Asimov’s “Robots and Earth” and his books of robot short stories just… no longer exist. Not in print, not even available as a digital book! How is this possible? *sigh*

Happy New Year!

Ending a really bizarre year on the highest of high notes. My 2-year-old daughter has finally discovered movies, and she adores them. So far, she’s watched The Grinch (2018) about 60 times. We watched Sleeping Beauty last night (her first Disney movie). Just incredible to see her watch these.

My 2-year-old just discovered that she loves Kirby, so I’m clearly desperate to be seen as a cool dad.

Ok, gotta get in the habit of posting more regularly here.

📽️ All aboard the Godzilla hype train!

Wow, Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning was a riot! So much fun at the movies.
