From my comics collection, Avengers Annual #1 (1967) by Roy Thomas & Don Heck. It's not in the best of conditions, but at least I have it. #comics

Today's run was great. The temperature was 0°. It was warm enough that I had to unzip at the colar area just a bit. The back trail is not clear, I had to walk in deep snow 200 metres to get to the snowmobile groomed part. Then, it was fine. Met up with 1 runner, waved hello. #running

From my comics collection, The Cable Blood & Metal mini series by @fabiannicieza.bsky.social , John Romita Jr & Dan Green. I was curious about this cable character that everyone was talking about, so figured I'd try this mini series. I was a bit lost since I was not reading any x titles. #comics

Todays' run may have been cold at minus 8°, but I was glad to be back on the trails. After yesterday's 50km/h wind, it has calmed down a bit today to 30km/h. The trails were partly covered in snow, so it was a bit tiring. Saw 1 runner in the distance, too far to wave hello. #running

From my comics collection: Shazam The Monster Society Of Evil by @jeffsmithsbone.bsky.social who really weaved his magic pencil for this one. Not being set in mainstream continuity gives the story more freedom. Its target audience is all ages which is what Shazam should always be. #comics

Me, posing again while snowshoeing on the snow covered Irishtown Nature Park Lake.

Snowshoeing again, this time at Irishtown Nature Park. We tried walking on the lake, but there's not enough snow. Our tracks in some spots were slowly filling up with water. We were not in danger, but decided to stick to the normal trails instead.

A few photos from today while out snowshoeing. My wife took the first one as I was standing on the river, I took the rest. #winter #snowshoes

Me, snowshoeing while standing on a small river. It was very windy & very cold. #winter #snowshoes

This morning's run was cold. And yet, I was glad to do it. It was the first time in a week that I was at the park. While it was cold, at one point, there's a straight path directly in line with the sun. Oh yah, it felt good. The park itself was mostly empty, so I had much it to myself. #running

Train to the End of the World 終末トレインどこへいく?This was a surprisingly good series. Once the premise is setup, it's an episodic journey reminiscent of those 80's series. Indeed, the only way this show could have been better is if it had been 50 episodes like those old 80's shows. #anime

This afternoon's run was kind of miserable. It had snowed earlier in the day. There was still a northern wind, but now ice pellets were falling. Those little things really stung against my face, especially my nose. At least, the wind was on my back for the return stretch. #running

From my comics collection, World's Finest #1-3 by @davegibbons90.bsky.social , Steve Rude, Karl Kesel & Steve Oliff. In post Crisis, DC were not teaming up their 2 iconic characters too often. This was a good one as both characters are not yet friends, but have great respect for each other. #comics

This afternoon's run was in my neighbourhood. The temperature was minus 9°. Against the wind, I was cold. At stretch break in a wide open area, I really felt the wind. On the way home with the wind on my back, I was actually getting hot. #running

From my comics collection, Batman Aliens #1 & 2 from 1997 written by @ronmarz.bsky.social & illustrated by @berniewrightson.bsky.social . Marz's background in SF comics let's him write Batman in a scifi/horror story. Wrightson is absolutely perfect & the best choice for this tale. #comics

This morning's run went really well. It was minus 9° & snowing a bit, but with the exception of one windy stretch, I was always comfortable. The small layer of snow also provided good padding for my joints. Yay! Met up with 2 runners, waved hello to both. #running

High and Low 天国と地獄 directed by Akira Kurosawa. Really 2 films in 1, the first half focuses on Mifune's character, while the 2nd half focuses on Nakadai's. It's done well enough, certainly 1 of the better Kurosawa films set in modern times. Cinephiles will love the use of blocking. #film

From my comics collection, Marvel's Greatest Comics, a reprint series from the early 70's. MGC Issue 42 is for Fantastic Four 72 by Stan Lee & Jack Kirby. In this issue, it's the team vs the Silver Surfer. #comics #fantasticfour

Cross country skiing in Kouchibouguac National Park. The weather was not on my side. It was 1° above freezing in the afternoon, causing snow to stick on my skis. Took breaks at some of the shelters. Had lunch & lit a fire in the middle one.

This afternoon's run was a return to my 6.7km run. When I reached the back trail, I ran for about 200m in rough snow, then was surprised to find the rest of the trail was all groomed for ATV's. It was also a bit windy, but the forest blocked most of the wind. #running

From my collection: Star Trek The Next Generation Annual #3 written by Michael Jan Friedman, drawn by Brandon Peterson & Pablo Marcos, with an incredibly beautiful painted cover by Todd Cameron Hamilton. A sequel to the season 1 episode Conspiracy finds our little aliens up to no good again. #comics
