I would not hate hyper-realism so much if the entire style weren't a joke. Realistic is nice. I do appreciate a beautiful realistic drawing. 'Hyper-realism' is the style primary seen in video games & 3d animation which is actually very low-effort and banks on classism and buzz words.

If you buy AAA studio games, never buy them when they release. Wait about 2-3 years. Seriously. By then they'll have actually finished it, fixed the bugs, and added a bunch of cool new shit that you can actually enjoy instead of it being added on too late when you're already burned-out of the game.
