FF8 is such a weird game. It's like so close to being really good but the parts that are bad are REALLY bad, but there's a lot more good than bad, but the bad is so annoyingly bad that it can't help but taint the good it's the weirdest balance of a game I think I have ever played

Disc 1 of FF8 done. Wild way to end it (would be wilder if I didn't know he lives), but so far I'm super engaged and digging *almost* everything. It's just such a mess mechanically in some areas while being amazing in others
