Yesterday, I had a picture that didn't want me to draw it. Today I got a change of scenery sightseeing the January twin cities with my laptop for writing, pen, and small notebook for sketches. Back to it tomorrow with several new ideas ready. #inspired

We are not in fire season in California. I need y'all to understand that and realize how absolutely MORE terrifying that makes this disaster. They're going to try to normalize this. This is not NORMAL. If something like this happens now, we're doomed come summer and fall.

As an avid reader, I always encourage and am happy when kids discover what they like to read and dive in. So when I spoke to my thirteen year old niece who found a book she liked in class, and loves discussing the Great War in detail. We said, ask for historical books.

Over the holiday I penned out my surgery story. Those rooms really set the mood for horror. From the powerful sedative wearing off just enough to feel poking around with my kidneys, to the surgeon's 'there's some complications '. Doctor no-no words. Yeah... Everyday experience inspiring creativity.

After nearly a year of mainly novel working, I wrote two short stories in one sitting. It's leaving me feeling good after a hard time writing in the short and sweet category... a day without my cat being jealous of anything occupying my hands. Back to it tomorrow.
