Several times recently we’ve had to come up with place names (that’s planning, innit). Understandably we got bored of Borchester. This is really going to come in handy.

Structured data is part of the foundation of the web. Eroding that now feels deeply irresponsible.

Jukesie’s the person who got me into open-working through his writing and speaking. So if you’ve been thinking of having a go, this will be full of good nuggets of inspiration.

Last year we visited the museum and memorials in Hiroshima about the dropping of the atomic bomb, and I don’t think I have been the same person since. Every world leader should be made to visit, alone and with no distractions and be forced to face what was done. www.theguardian.com/world/2025/j...

Being a Product Manager is great, but it ain't half lonely. Product for the People is always such a refill - great people, solidarity, great chat. Thanks @jukes.ie, @visitmy.website and @debblanch44.bsky.social, @cocochan.bsky.social @chiefbreenie.bsky.social, @pixlz.com and many others!

Innovators and “disrupters” abound in the civil service. But the culture eats them for breakfast. Fix the culture before you break more good humans.

Gorgeous day at Product for the People ☀️ The usual rich and enthralling conversation, yet what I appreciate most is the shared camaraderie and optimism. When so much of our work is intangible and wins spread out over months rather than days, it’s nice to be reminded that we’re in it together.

I really, honestly believe Microsoft's position as default infra is a ticking time bomb for the UK. Copilot is getting freemium-ed into public services and local authorities all over the country and it's an infrastructure resilience crisis waiting to happen.

Anyone know a good space in Newcastle for 40–60 people? Preferably free or cheap, but open to paying a fee if the space is decent.

No photo but I lived up to promise and got ice creams/lollies from Londis for everyone attending 😆

Great to see @jukes.ie @visitmy.website @cocochan.bsky.social @cthimon.bsky.social and lots of new people at Product for the people Brum

LOADS of pitches this time and a great afternoon agenda has emerged!

Kat and Zak - who just sound like a 2000s Nickelodeon kids TV show - brilliantly opening things up for the 8th Product for the People 👏

Product for the People 8 Day! Just a mild 30 degrees forecast 🥵 for central Birmingham today so a perfect way to keep chill with the coolest 🧊 community of product inclined people 😆 Yes there is aircon but bring your water bottles...and there maybe even be ice cream/lollies 🍦🍭

Birmingham-bound friends on the lookout for a breakfast spot: Medicine, New Street. Go on, treat yo’self 💛

Had a phenomenal time in the Spanish Pyrenees on the GR11. Such a glorious place. Home unexpectedly early with an injury. Walking down slippery snow-covered mountains is hard, who knew?!
