What @francesconicoli.bsky.social predicted a year ago now needs serious consideration. The weakness of the US position is they think it's ok to bully Europe because we have nowhere else to go. But we do. It implies unpleasant choices re: Taiwan, human rights, democracy outside the EU. 1/2
