Perhaps the most terrifying thing about Orwell's "1984" is that the Party didn't NEED to overthrow the capitalists. Had they only waited a few generations, MAGA would have arrived to pervert capitalism into the totalitarian ideology the Party wanted in the first place, with no need for a revolution.

See "Trending Videos" in my feed. Exclaim "No! I will not kneel, kin of Facebook reels!" Hit X to close it, glumly expecting to have to do this regularly, as with Facebook reels. Get a notice like "Trend videos hidden! You may reverse this in Settings later!" I... I think I really like it here.
