Do you find that hard to believe? See extensive photos and videos our inspection report. www.vnsta.org/news/tenant-...

The tenant association conducted an informal inspection of #3003VanNess on Sunday, Feb. 23, and found some small improvements -- two exterior doors fixed -- but many serious problems unresolved. #EquityResidential www.vnsta.org/news/tenant-...

#EquityResidential announced yesterday that there would be no hot water today between 10 am and 2 pm for emergency repairs. Some residents are now reporting that they have no water at all.

The fire alarms went off again this morning. Thirty minutes later EQR management sent an email telling residents that it was a test. It would have been nice to know before the alarms went off.

When she says "focus" TOPA or "modernize" TOPA, what she specifically means is that she will take TOPA rights away from middle-class DC renters.

D.C. officials quietly waived $1M in fees at a Van Ness apartment complex, where residents face ongoing neglect. Experts say it’s part of a larger problem: “Landlords are playing the system.” Here's the full story.

The tenant association reminds all residents of #3003VanNess that they must sign a DOB permission form to get an inspection of their units. This is a powerful way to get problems fixed. www.vnsta.org/news/tenant-...

Heat has been restored to the West 6th floor hallway. Thanks to one of our members for making management and VNSTA aware of this problem.

Residents report that 3 out of 4 elevators in the West building are not working. #EquityResidential

Burst pipe causes large-scale flooding at #3003VanNess www.vnsta.org/news/burst-p...

The fire department never arrived. Only about 50 people from the 650 units bothered to leave their apartments, probably due to the large number of fire alarms at 3003 Van Ness.

A resident reported that water started pouring through overhead light fixtures and that there was widespread flooding. There is no overnight maintenance at the building. It took well over an hour for a maintenance team to come and shut off the water. Then the fire alarms went off.

Pipes burst in the middle of the night at #3003VanNess. At the same time, the fire alarm goes off and some residents run downstairs. Many don’t bother because there have been so many false alarms. It turns out to be another one. But the big leak is real.

We have reported this broken exterior door many times to #EquityResidential.

On the same day that the DC Department of Buildings reported that it found ONE broken security door at #3003VanNess, the tenant association recorded videos of FOUR broken security doors at 3003 Van Ness. Find our more and see video on our website: www.vnsta.org/news/exterio...
