No Other Land, a documentary about the West Bank, has been unable to get a distributor in the United States despite worldwide acclaim and now an Oscar nomination. It's a very capitalist way to ban a movie. For better or worse, I can't help taking a banned movie as a challenge (more below).

Terrible news. One of the most imitated, influential directors ever. Nearly all of his movies rewarded multiple viewings to get deeper at all the mysteries. Sure they got weird but the emotional through line was always there. Legend, RIP.
