I wonder if people understand that being aware of what the US did for Australia since the dark days when Australia got told by Churchill that the UK was focused on defeating Germany does not mean I actually like Americans? I am sure that has to be one or two nice Yanks out there, or so I believe.

All those years of Americans saying their system of government is the best if not perfect? In a modified Westminster system, we have more checks and balances. A rogue PM or minister can be sacked by parliament or the GG, although the latter could start a constitutional crisis (again)
