I think I need a social media detox. Nothing on here has particularly been making me upset, but I'm realizing that I'm just never happy anymore unless I'm playing a video game. I need to start leaving my phone behind, stop scrolling, and just lock in on videos and my backlog.

The panic over Game Key Cards on Switch 2 just makes me so tired. I agree that they are dumb, but we cannot pretend that every single physical game on Xbox and PlayStation for the past ten years hasn't been a "Game Key Disc" because they ALL ARE. ALWAYS. This is not new in the slightest.

I am bewildered by the number of people complaining that #MarioKartWorld only has 30 tracks, not only because we've literally already seen 32 (which is the amount that every single new MK has launched with for 20 years), but also because the connective segments are basically bonus tracks.

Weird question I didn't think about until now: what happens if you buy a game digitally on Switch 1, then go to Switch 2 and buy the upgrade pack? Can you still move the virtual card back to Switch 1 and play that original version? Or will the upgrade screw you because it's now a Switch 2 game?

I know this is random, but I highly recommend you don't purchase Purina dog food. I had to take a 1-day-old bag back to the store today because there were larvae crawling around it inside and out. It would be bad enough if this was the first time, but nope. Found insects in there like 6 times now.

I will say, I’m having trouble playing Switch games at the moment if they have ANY performance issues at all, since I suspect even un-patched games like Sword & Shield will run better on Switch 2. I can’t wait to see how it handles all these old games.

Even though the #MarioKartWorld Direct was a little underwhelming, can we at least agree that the soundtrack sounds INSANE so far!? Topping Mario Kart 8's is an insane concept, but EVERYTHING from World so far is ear candy, and it's SO awesome that there are new arrangements of non-Kart Mario songs.

Mario Kart World still looks awesome but they definitely set everyone’s expectations too high with how they talked about this Direct. The coolest info took up like 48 seconds of it, and SO much of that we already knew from pre-release footage.

I didn't really think about it until now, but the "Nintendo is so greedy" discourse is even more pathetic and forced when you consider that it hasn't even been a year since Sony asked $700 for a console that's a minuscule upgrade, barely has any exclusives, with disc drive & stand sold separately.
