Something I occasionally think about is community hosted servers for games. Modern online services can be cool, but I think quite a bit has been lost with moving away from that.

In game design, is it better for mechanics to tie into storytelling? I personally think it is because you're able to tell stories that can't just be told through other mediums. Granted, I don't think it's required to tell a good story in a game.

Finally got around to watching the first season of Frieren, and it's cool to see such a reflective story, especially in fantasy. It's really interesting how they explore a world where the heroes already won and how time keeps moving on after that.

I wish people put more effort into being friendly in multiplayer games. From Soulslikes to Hero Shooters, the best interactions I've had have all been pretty silly adventures where everyone was vibing.

Something I've been thinking about lately when it comes to storytelling is if it's necessary to have some kind of underlying message (I'd say animus, but that feels pretentious) to tell a truly compelling story or if that's just a quality I really appreciate in stories.

I've really been enjoying Marvel Rivals, but I wish there were more cosmetics and a better ability to earn them. I get it's free to play, but it's still annoying to feel the game trying to squeeze me for money.

I think life is at its most interesting in those moments where you get to see how much more there is to the world around you than what you normally see.
