I'm tired, boss. The Pax Americana wasn't perfect. But compared to what preceded it, or human history at large? It was pretty alright. Especially given that unlike prior periods of hegemons dominating a political space, we had the Extinction Bomb. Gonna miss peace, I reckon.

2/16 shouts into the void: As a long-time believer in the importance of rules & fair standards, I am getting *real* tired of interacting w/ people who think it's okay to throw out the Republic to support a thin-skinned tinpot tyrant. Esp. when it's not even for something that's publicly beneficial.

Happy Tuesday, y'all. Question for anyone that happens to see this: What's a good idea to do for celebrating 35? I got a birthday in 90 days or so, and I've already booked some time off work. Feel like making a bigger deal out of it than the usual "have dinner with a couple of friends & sleep in."
