My new game is an open-ended programming toy about generating 3D objects from code. A free demo is available now on Steam! s.team/a/3401490

Benefit of streaming: when something works for the first time, you have a clip of it 🤩

#mathematics #math

sometimes the debug output looks cooler than the final object

parking garage rally is to blame for this

Gotta end the stream with a good run

Wow PGRC got a 2-page feature article in Retro Gamer! I need to get my own copy, I was sent this photo.

Replicube will have a little mini game as part of its “OS”, but instead of Solitaire it’s an arcade stack-em-up

making some new Replicube puzzles tonight.

PGRC is now at 90% of my arbitrary goal of reaching 1k reviews on Steam! Thanks to everyone who has played the game and left an honest review!

People like to joke that you just need to find the right checkbox in a game engine to make something work, and occasionally that’s actually true 🥲

After 14 months of development, I am proud to share with you that my game is finally released on Steam! Go solve puzzles, have headache and enjoy the final product! I do not ask often, but please share this! store.steampowered.com/app/2731590/... #gamedev #indiedev #godotengine #puzzle

The car park in question:

Naples, Italy track from the upcoming expansion content for PGRC! Believe it or not this is (loosely) based on a real location.

I’m usually pretty good at making video games. But some days, I can’t even get a cube to move 😅

Played the demo last night and it’s just as charming as I had hoped! Can’t wait for the full version, but in the meantime I’m going looking for more secrets in the demo 🤓

Replicube has zachtronics-style histograms for the leaderboards, which have been fun to implement! today I improved them such that outlier scores don't skew the entire thing (see the scores at the bottom not affecting the graph)

Replicube (full version) is primarily about writing code to replicate 3D voxel objects, but it also has a "RepliPaint" app for making 2D art from code as well. Kinda like a shadertoy-lite, for making desktop backgrounds, profile pics for the forum, and just... art :)

Replicube takes place in a nostalgic fake "OS" with many different applications, sticky notes, and the all-important: DARK MODE 😎

Parking Garage Rally Circuit is among incredible company in the "Hits You Missed" sale event on Steam right now. If you haven't tried my love letter to drifting in parking garages, now is a great time to get it (25% off)! store.steampowered.com/sale/hitsyou...

Parking Garage Rally Circuit is $7.49 on Steam buff.ly/4f1G1dM Deck verified

A player requested an FOV setting option to help reduce motion sickness.

With Steam NextFest coming up, let me know of any content creators you think might enjoy this approachable Zachtronics-style graphics coding toy/game! Demo is out now!

This mod track gave me a new game idea 🤔

took a little break tonight from working on the game, tried to reduce my code size on this one as far as I could.

Dolphin racing prototype now has its first track concept! I’ll continue to flesh this out on next Sunday’s stream.

And 30 years later someone (me) thought that changing the setting to Parking Garages was a great idea 🤣

Replicube demo has been out for a few days and players are already finding enterprising exploits 🤓 …And this one extremely recursive solution rendered my histogram basically meaningless 🤣
