Caturday and the two cat boys have staked territorial claims over each of the newly remodeled rooms.

The satisfaction of finishing a small home project.

Building a new spare bedroom.

Yes, there it is and unfortunately it comes as no surprise.

@altusda.bsky.social We need the Forest Service!

Leonard & Simon, on what was formerly known as my table.

Twin carpets, in two different rooms. Interesting how they take on and accentuate the hues of the room colors around them. It’s natural to be influenced by that which is around you, but stay true to what you know is right.

4 inches of snow thus far in my part of Michigan. At the moment, it’s not the snowmageddon that I’d heard was predicted. Fingers crossed.

When the going gets rough, make a little music…

One egg from a brown egg shell, and the other from a white one. They looked the same after poaching.

On a positive note, at least now you can barely tell I’d raked a large pile of leaves under the Norway Maple tree.

Another Caturday has arrived, and these guys are in charge as I have to work today. They look like they might behave.

My late great kitty, Zelda and her map of Michigan paws. She lived to be 19 years old. 1995-2014.

Exactly.

My personal coping devices.

Shadowing.

What’s up doc?

Peace in my little music room at my house at the lake. Snow is disappearing, and 100% chance of rain is predicted for today Still hanging in there in Michigan.

Recording sometimes goes very well, and sometimes not so much. Today’s recording will be scratched in order to redo guitar track one. As Leonard Cohen said: waiting for the miracle to come.

Dressed appropriately to go see ‘A Complete Unknown’ yesterday. Really enjoyed the movie. Acting was superb. Still have unanswered questions about the mysterious Dylan who I’ve listened to for well over 40 years.

I had a lighter, hour-wise work week, which allowed me time to complete my music room project. Unexpected event of the week was the new furnace and air conditioner. Grateful to be in a nice warm house with a day off from everything and the pleasure of sleeping a bit later than usual.

My music room that I’ve been working on setting up for the last month is finally complete and ready for musical instruments, accessories, and a little bit of furniture. Next week, I hope to tackle the next bedroom and make it into a guestroom.

Yesterday we had the new furnace installed and today we had the new central air installed. As it has been below 0°F today we have not been able to test it out yet but we’re in Michigan so we might have the right weather for it next week😜

This quote could be applied to so many things.

Yesterday during the subzero temperatures outside, we had a brand new furnace installed. The old furnace, a 22 year-old Lennox was chugging along like a very old car, but this morning, the Amana furnace hums and keeps up with warming the house. It is -6°F outside. Grateful.

My woman cave, aka the music room is coming along. Currently working on redoing the floor. Within a month, I hope to have a small musical refuge.

Blackness with no engagement. Is that the answer, and what does it solve?

Beatnik with a Tuxedo: My old cat Roscoe from the 80’s. One of the smartest cats I ever had.

A stare down contest with Leonard, when he does his usual trick of staring into my soul.

Besides my part time job, and babysitting my two grandkids, I’ve been working on my woman cave aka the music room. I hope to finish it within the next few weeks. Great distraction.

Such a lazy Caturday. Snow and a chill outside, so it’s a great day inside for grooming and napping.
