We are devastated - a beautiful life ended after just three years. The only reason she won't go home tonight is because we collectively fail to acknowledge the harm that cars bring to our cities. This is on all of us.

Walk Ride GM has today invited Andrew Gwynne MP to join a cycle ride in his constituency, Gorton and Denton. He would experience first-hand the benefits of travelling by cycling and also appreciate why improved provision is urgently needed.

Before (2016) / After (2023) the cycle lane that is part of a 2 km cycle route enabling children from a hamlet to reach the school in Chaingy. It is lit by streetlights that activate when cyclists pass. The project cost €390,000 and was made in 3 months in 2020.

Great to see @traffordcouncil.bsky.social's school street scheme feature on @bbcbreakfast.bsky.social this morning Give children the choice, and they will cycle to school. The only thing stopping them are adults who make our cities dangerous to be a kid!
