This is superintendent speak for "fuck off, we're not backtracking from taking care of our kids". When a funding referendum failed a couple years ago, he looked at the voting data and killed much of the rural bus routes, only hurting the families that don't see the value in paying taxes. Good cat.

If you don't have a governor willing to fight to protect their citizens, or more to the point, doctors, nurses, teachers, and clergy who will do the work on the ground knowing someone has their back, you need to find a new place to live.
