"Have you said thank you even once?"

As an American, I will never turn my back on my Ukrainian family members, friends, and colleagues. I'm absolutely horrified by what I saw tonight. I'm so sorry Ukraine and President Zelenskyy. You are defending the world and deserve better than how you were treated by Trump and Vance.

Trump acting like the mafia bully was absolutely on show. But this was also Trump acting like a salesman who's utterly, angrily desperate when he senses he won't close the sale. What's the commission here? #slavaukraini

Heartworms at @hareandhounds.bsky.social Beautiful voices, amazing hair; great night!

So my Facebook Me has suddenly discovered my LinkedIn Me and now my FB feed is serving up invites to Industry events. What I don't think FB realises, though, is that this advert has Actual Me in the photo! 😄 (And yes, I will be at #TTG25 this year, too)

A couple of good words that just aren't used enough these days: Fink Swindler #preserveourwords #oed

This is the equivalent of saying he was asking for it in that short skirt. #grotesque BBC News - www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/c6... Ukraine latest: Trump calls Zelensky a 'dictator' as he hits back at 'disinformation' criticism - BBC News

Any app that's relied on for just-in-time use, such as transit or payment apps, should be required to notify you when it logs you out or requires a verification. Finding out at the point of need is Not Cool. #appsarethenewprinters

Trump on Gaza: You've seen Wall-E, right? Ok, so Elon will build a self-sustaining space ship, all the Gazans can go on that and they can orbit the Earth for, I dunno, 500 years? Meanwhile, we'll re-develop Gaza into the Riviera of the Middle East. It's a Perfect solution!

Here at @hareandhounds.bsky.social for @young-knives.bsky.social !! During the opening act I was surrounded by men talking loudly enough to be heard over the musician about pure inanities. It was like being immersed in the lives of the basic men from HMHB lyrics.

Call me Two Gigs Sue: #StripSearchTramp at @justdroppedin.bsky.social were fabulous - great performance of an awesome album. Then @dublonde.bsky.social at the Flapper!! So packed I couldn't see her for half an hour, but amazing! Gorgeous voice and so much fun! Love #strongwomeninbands

Thank you, David Lynch for the trees, the owls, red curtains, blue velvet, fire, more fire, the mirrors, the dark, the doubles, the worlds, the rabbits, diners that were sweet, diners that were danger, a word from somewhere else, a dance, coffee, on and on. I won't believe you're gone. #DavidLynch

Lines and curves. The glorious elevation of a corridor at #CDG T2; The thoughtful retrofit of flat paving amongst cobbles for bicycles in #Copenhagen. ❤️

My experience of European air travel is that I get addressed in English most of the time. Today, almost not at all and my conversational French is just not up to the job. I think it's the #glasses

Happy New Year!! #2025 - well!!

RIP Jimmy Carter 🫡

I remember the chaos and unrest of the 70s. I remember singing anti-Carter songs to the tune of the Oscar-Meyer Weiner advert in 1980. But #JimmyCarter genuinely and honestly dedicated his life to making the world a better place. And succeeded. What a legend. #RIP

Watching "the Grinch who Stole Christmas" and I'm the same age as the #Grinch. And yes, I do have garlic in my soul.

Christmas tomorrow: the end of Advent. My favourite album of 2024, out of the nearly 100 I listened to, is Amelia by Laurie Anderson. Ever since I first heard it, it has haunted me, talked to me, been with me. Its soul has stuck to me. Happy Holidays, everyone! ❤️🌲 open.spotify.com/playlist/7KT...

Penultimate Advent Album, one which was a constant companion through late spring and summer, a blast of jingly jangly Australian sunshine: Behold by #Parsnip. Tomorrow - Christmas Eve and my favourite album of 2024...

Sunday before Christmas: it should be a chance to relax into the Christmas spirit, but today's Advent Album is not on that vibe. #Drahla 's angeltape (which, as the photo illustrates, comes On Tape (😃)) is sultry, brittle, and arch. Possibly the opposite of festive, but very good!

How is Duke Keats not stadium famous?? #dukekeats

The day of the Winter #Solstice and my 21st Advent Album is CYRM by #ØXN. Heavy doom folk - the wild stare of the Third Eye. Tremendous.

December 20th and the forward side of the longest night. Today's Advent Album is Toda la Verdad Sobre Dame Area by #DameArea. The solstice is a good time to release what no longer serves you and this album is a powerful sonic cleanser. [Think Throbbing Gristle/Skinny Puppy] I absolutely love it.

19th! Today's Advent Album is The Night Dwells in the Day by #JozefvanWissem. This has been my most listened to album from this year. Deceptively simple modern lute pieces, haunting and graceful. (And very agreeable to work to)

Gift exchanges are happening so it must be Christmas soon! 18th of December and my Advent Album is Romance by #FontainesDC. Lots of different stuff on this one. Up, down, and of course lyrically fabulous. I missed seeing them this time through epic diary mismanagement, but you shouldn't!

Train chaos and a day in a freezing London office, 17 December's Advent Album is Rockmaker by The Dandy Warhols. More mature than 25 years ago (aren't we all?) and full of good tunes. Guitar Indie rock, of course.
