THE S&P ROLLING WEEKLY'S FOR MARCH A tendency for a notable bullish lean going into the 1st Qtr OpEx on the 3rd Friday in March which would be Mar 21st this year. Seasonals may get 'trumped' by other variables this year. We share similar on 14 markets each week with our commentary subscribers.

Not a football headline...

Look who finally filled its big early-February gap!

Ended at 68%... which means nothing much in particular. DVOL/(UVOL+DVOL); Lowry’s definition. Data per wsj.com. See docs.cmtassociation.org/docs/2002Dow... for explanation.

67% downside day at 3 pm. Feels worse.

Do we get a “Markets In Turmoil” tonight? Asking for a friend…

I thought when money started to come out of the Mag 7 it would go into mid- and small-caps — but it seems to be going overseas instead.

75% upside day at 11 am. (Friday, by comparison, was a 77% downside day.) UVOL/(UVOL+DVOL); Lowry’s definition. Data per wsj.com. See docs.cmtassociation.org/docs/2002Dow... for explanation.

75% downside day at 2 pm.

Good stuff from Portuguese editorial cartoonist Zez Vaz.

Look who finally filled its big late-January gap!

GLD has reached a trend channel objective while testing multi-year resistance versus SPX. Caution is warranted despite ostensible tailwind from geopolitical uncertainty.

3-day weekend with no football got you down? No worries; just go to my December 2010 Joke of the Month: walterdeemer.com/joke1210.htm Then, click the “Last Month’s Joke” link at the bottom of each page and you’ll cycle all the way back to April 1996. But be forewarned: Some are definitely NSFW!!

I got a nice call-out on a recent Fox Business Channel segment (at the 0:35 mark). walterdeemer.com/FoxBizFeb202...

Headline: "CPI LAYS EGG"

Only a 59% downside day at 11:30. DVOL/(UVOL+DVOL); Lowry’s definition. Data per wsj.com. See docs.cmtassociation.org/docs/2002Dow... for explanation.

$NVDA still needs to get back to 141.88 to fill its gap.

$IWM took a peek into the promised land over 230 and said "Nope; not today..."

Both gaps have now been filled.

Final reading was 68%.

Both $SPY and $QQQ tried really, really hard to fill their gaps today but neither succeeded.

"Only" a 74% downside day at 10:30. DVOL/(UVOL+DVOL); Lowry’s definition. Data per wsj.com. See docs.cmtassociation.org/docs/2002Dow... for explanation.

To fill this morning’s rather large gaps, $SPY would have to rally to 601.05 and $QQQ to 521.19. How quickly the gaps get filled -- if at all – gives us an idea of how strong the underlying trend is.

The real bloodbath tonight is in cryptoland.

Guessing there are a whole lotta stops at 116.25 in $NVDA.

Pajama traders won’t be bored tonight…

Trump coin not taking tariff news well (-24%).

Both gaps have finally been filled.
