The world wasn’t as nearly interconnected, and why not learn from our mistake then? Do you believe a nuclear armed super power being controlled by a Hitler-esque leader is going to just not affect the rest of the planet? We’re asking for help. When the Americans ask for help, you know it’s bad.

These people are nuts… imagine thinking the removal of government members for disloyalty is some racist crackdown shit… and they are cheering

This 50% additional on China already has the market futures down 2%. Wait till everyone wakes up, sees he was serious, and immediately tries to sell their stock after “buying the dip” all week at 9am…

Remember in school when you read in history class about the Russian revolution, and the influx of influence from external nations on the different groups fighting for power because the bordering nations were afraid of the instability and how it would shake out? Early days. Here we are

They just want more time because they think they can spin a literal recession. Dont let him waste more of all our time and money! Vote that prick and any like him out asap!

Listen, there are lots of reasons to pick on Noem as a liberal, but the part of me that grew up conservative wants to know why the fuck she’s holding the gun like someone pretending her hands were made in an AI algorithm

They usually just all fight over the pile of hoarded bananas, until a respected/feared member of the tribe starts handing things out but still kindve hoarding. That’s what makes us different, but also the same. We at least recognize we do it, try to avoid it, see the long term issue with it.

That’s the crappy part about all this. We were right all along but no one wanted higher taxes. Bow it’ll take decades to fix this shit, and the cost of it all is going to be astronomically higher, AND we won’t be a world power. Things will get better, but they did the exact opposite of their MAGA

“The good old days” because it was only 3 and a half months ago but it feels like a decade because of how rapidly things have changed

I’d love as a young person to do something about this, but most of us work too much, and still can’t afford to live so we’re busy.
This has been the problem for decades. He’s just gone and pushed everyone off the precipice we all live on

The final line for checks and balances just broke in a way that allows the suspension of people’s due process rights. Americans need to ask themselves, very honestly, how far we are willing to let this go

How much horrible shit is going to be allowed to happen before we all decide he isn’t following the constitution and we need to as a people make a choice now, if we’re ok with that or if the world we want is worth fighting for

After he just tanked the market as bad as the 2008 recession and will probably tank it more today with fresh tariffs on China. Buckle up, it’s only been 3 fucking months 😃🙃

Well, in that case they all shouldn’t come back. Let the admin fail miserably, let the people turn on them. They can work for the next one if they want

The liberal base is pretty much there, it’s the centrists were kinda hanging out waiting on

It’s like… yea it’s the natural order of things but we owe it to the rest of humanity to always try to beat back the natural cycles that lead us to these moments. Do not go quietly etc etc lol

Well because it still sucks and I’m a personal believer that not just being sad or unhappy about things leads to apathy, which is arguably worse than being angry and powerless

People seem to forget at the end of the day we’re still hairless apes. Our brains may be able to understand the complexity of the world around us, but the underlying programming still is “Hoard resources, eliminate or avoid anything threatening or scary”. History repeats because of this

I personally feel this is the unfortunate natural turning of history. This all was unavoidable because the average person doesn’t think more than a month to a year ahead. They can’t, life’s hard
comment in response to

It’s one and the same issue. Markets just a tangible, physical thing that helps people understand things are going badly. It’s easier to disconnect from the unpleasantness of government making people disappear than it is the economy tanking and destroying your life savings. People are selfish

They really just needed to go back to grass roots and kick the money out of the party a bit. A lot of the grass root liberal ideals have over 60-70% approval over the whole US

I don’t necessarily agree, because apathy has BEEN a problem well before we had literal fascists running around and if you weren’t paying attention the last decade lost in the sauce of life, I do kinda understand. I care about what people do now that no one can ignore it

I feel like when there is strong evidence built on precedence for anything it’s no longer a conspiracy. The idea of the American technate was very popular pre-WW2, but fell apart when people watched the horrors of fascism in real time, and that was a core point for that idea.

You have a good psychiatrist. It absolutely is ok to feel your feelings but that’s I think what this person was saying. The advice of “Everyone special and shits gonna be fine” isn’t helpful when you feel like the entire world is crashing around you. That’s apathy
comment in response to

I’ve said this since the tail end of 2015. A lot of therapists handle this well but the amount of actual professionals I’ve watched say things like “well you ought to just let it go because there is nothing you can do anyway” is astronomical and made me feel insane. It’s apathy, and it’s not healthy

I’m of a mind everyone that got fired needs to negotiate hard for much higher salaries or not go back, so we can all point to these morons and go “You’ve saved money? Really? By making these jobs unwanted and having to pay people more to deal with you?”

I think, if we have mid terms (what a horrible thing to have to say), your gonna see a major shift on the left toward actual leftists and not people like Chuck Schumer, and then maybe we have a chance. Not hopeful though, it’s only been 3 months…
comment in response to

Well that’s the thing, actual men look at these children and want nothing to do with it. That’s why they have to try to force a bunch of stuff on everyone, there ideas suck and they’re weak, so they’re capturing power to force it on people

Look up the “great American technate” idea if you’re unaware of it. It feels like a crazy conspiracy theory to suggest that’s the main idea but if you put all the pieces together it does happen to look like the plan. It would explain the territorial pushes

Isn’t it kinda ridiculous they spent 4 years saying Biden was unfit for office because of his age, (to be fair he was and that’s why we switched it up to Harris), but will defend everything Trump does despite being clear dementia signs?

We saw this with a lot of the protests for civil rights in 2020, defamation of an individuals character to try to justify the elimination of due process, by ironically some of the worst people in the country. Classic.

Horrid but hot take, they’re pushing so hard not to bring him back because he’s probably dead, and having to admit to the whole country they sent people to death camps effectively without due process, in top of a crashed economy, would result in full scale revolt

A lot of people are really angry and he’s really showing just how insanely incompetent him and everyone like him are right now. I don’t think this will last, just a real tough time, and after I think people will have learned their lesson for a time. Deep breathes, it’ll be ok, long term
