I've been re-reading a bunch of Damon Knight stories from the 1950s. In pretty much all of them, our civilization collapses for what seem to me to be absurd reasons. I knew when I saw his online activities in the 1990s that he had a weird worldview, but I hadn't realized how long he'd had it.

Saying that AI can "help you come up with ideas" is such a tell. I've literally never known a single creative person who has said "Wow, I wish I had more ideas". Ideas are everywhere. There is not an ideas shortage and never will be. Claiming that's the bottleneck tells me you have zero imagination.
