As a (now retired and living in Ecuador) Canadian scientist I appreciate all the support #Canada has received from many Americans w.r.t. Trump's aggressive "51st state" nonsense. I just want to return that support in your fight against DOGE for American #Science funding and for #AcademicSky.

In order to stop Trump's threats to make Canada the 51st state Trudeau should say, "You know who would love to put a few hundred thousand troops into Canada, right next door to the USA, at our friendly call for help? China. I don't think it would take them more than a few weeks." . #Canada #China

Seems like Trudeau and Trump are talking past each other. Trudeau says US tariffs postponed by 30 days for negotiations on a border deal. Trump says he wants, "to see whether or not a final Economic deal with Canada can be structured.” So which is it #Canada: a border deal or an Economic deal?

Just realized something: If US govt shuts down because Repubs can't agree on funding and debt package, they look incompetent but if it shuts down by EO so they can review programs for compliance with new anti-DEI policies, they look strong (to some). Ridiculous political game!
