Looks like today's letters are R, M, and A. . That memory upgrade I got for my Mac is faulty according to MemTest86 (a test that nearly ran a full 24 hours!) . So I'll have to downgrade to my old RAM for a couple days. Let's hope the replacement works 100%.

I currently have a Switch Lite, which is very nice and is great for games like Animal Crossing, Mario, etc. But some games, like Xenoblade Chronicles or any game that has lots of text on the screen, still need a big screen TV. . Hence my interest in the Switch OLED. You can't dock the Lite to a TV.

Really trying to resist the urge to splurge on a Switch OLED right now. Yes, I know the Switch 2 will drop later this year, but it's unknown if there will be a Lite variant. And the wait for the April ND will feel like an eternity. . Maybe I should get a Retroid Pocket 2 instead.

Looks like Final Cut Pro has some new bugs, which may be affecting Compressor? . Was preparing a batch of TV recordings, and Compressor stopped working and FCP crashed on exit. Seeing how I just got a RAM upgrade in my Mac, I ran the built in diagnostic and it reported no problems. . Weird.

Turns out the MacBook Pro mid-2012 can make a damn good Windows 7 laptop, especially if it has an SSD. After trying, and failing, to get WinXP set up again on my 2009 MacBook (white plastic unibody), I just decided to turn my idle MBP2012 into my casual/retro game laptop. So far, so good. 🙂

Retro computing ProTip: if you are tinkering with very old software on newer versions of Windows (say running Win9x software on XP), make sure to create a restore point before installing said software. . I cooked my WinXP laptop thanks to an old Adobe PhotoDeluxe installer. 😢

While searching for drawing tablets on eBay, I came across a couple vintage new-in-box Wacom Graphire 4 tablets. These came with a pen and mouse, and had rubber coatings on them. . Turns out the rubber coatings may break down. I used to have a Graphire 4 and the rubber was becoming very sticky.

I was thinking of getting a New Nintendo 2DS XL someday because I find the colors and overall form factor appealing. . But I learned the battery isn't designed to be user replaceable. You have to take apart the entire handheld to get at the battery. 😕 . Looks like I'll have to stick with my 3DS XL.

A drawing for chinese lunar new year. Year of the sssnake. Tomorrow I will investigate new watercolor style textures, I may repost again, like I usualy do with samples. I have trouble closing them when I go into experimental mode.
