President Trump continues to hurt our students and communities with divisive directives. Let’s be clear about what this latest directive is. It is an attempt to take money from our students, when we should be investing more.

Our students deserve an education secretary who will fight for them and the resources they need to learn, not gut public education to pay for tax breaks for billionaires.

Students will suffer without the Department of Education.

Thank you to Ana Gasteyer, Paula Pell, and Will Ferrell for taking a moment during #SNL50 to fundraise for teachers impacted by the wildfires! They’re matching contributions to the CTA Disaster Relief Fund, so check out the link below to have your donation matched! www.instagram.com/reel/DGMlk_9...

This really matters...

95% of students with disabilities learn in public schools, and the Department of Education ensures they get the support they need and deserve.

The Department of Education is critical to ensuring every student has access to an education that will help them reach their full potential. Dismantling it means defunding programs that feed, educate, and protect our most vulnerable and underserved students. www.latimes.com/california/s...

Instead of prioritizing their students and school, management forced more than 130 ECR UTLA members out of their classrooms and onto picket lines all week, in the rain, to fight for the school they believe in and their students deserve. @utlanow.bsky.social

Linda McMahon is ready to dismantle the Department of Education and steer federal funds away from public schools to pay for private school vouchers and tax cuts for the rich. Our students and our schools deserve better!

Love may not always be forever, but our solidarity is unbreakable. 💖 ✊ Share some Valentine's Day love with your colleagues today and let folks know our union makes us strong!

Happening now: Linda McMahon's confirmation hearing to be education secretary. What do you want the senators to ask her? #QuestionsforLinda

Anti-public education extremists are dismantling equity efforts in our schools, prioritizing politics over students' futures. It’s disheartening to see leaders who once supported DEI now aligning with agendas that undermine those very values.

With Linda McMahon’s confirmation hearing tomorrow and billionaires taking aim at the Department of Education, educators from across the nation rallied at the Capitol today to protect students and public education. You can take action texting the word ACTION to 48744! #WeAreCTA

It was stormy with a 100-percent chance of inspiring solidarity on Day Three of the El Camino Real (ECR) Charter High School educators’ strike. ✊☔️🪧 www.cta.org/educator/pos...

This is what solidarity looks like! Members of the Alhambra Teachers Association, local officials, and members of the community came together to stand up to the bullies in Washington and show our students that they are valued and supported regardless of their immigration status. ❤️ 💪

The unstoppable power of solidarity was on full display this morning as union educators, their students and families brought inspiring energy to the picket lines on the second day of the strike at El Camino Real Charter High School in LA. #WeAreCTA @utlanow.bsky.social @cftunion.bsky.social

Elon Musk and DOGE are trying to shut down the CFPB. The agency formed after the 2008 financial crisis has returned $21 BILLION to working people cheated out of their hard-earned money by big banks. Elon and the DOGE are NOT working class heroes.

Haters will say we're overpaid. But we won't sit down and be humble. When it comes to fighting for safe, stable, and fully funded schools where educators can afford to live and thrive in the communities where they teach, we can't wait! #WeAreCTA #WeCantWaitCA

The Trump administration knows private school vouchers have failed in Congress and been rejected by voters, so they're using an executive order to push them through anyway—at the expense of 90% of students who attend public schools.
