Federal NDP losing ground in latest polls youtu.be/xXSmscGFPFQ?...

I do not understand the announcement of the Heritage minister on cbc at this time when a new PM will soon be elected and we head into an election where all manner of different policy will be put forward. New budget, new fiscal order with possible tarrifs. Liberals shooting new leader in the back.

D Looks like Charlie is angling to replace Singh after the NDP gets its bum spanked in the upcoming federal election. He invokes Danny Williams in this presser. Cool. I'd forgotten about him. Another shoot from the lip Canadian who didn't mind getting mucky. youtu.be/ZJEM5nMsyPU?...

The Energy Department is seeking to bring back nuclear energy specialists after abruptly telling hundreds of workers that their jobs were eliminated, according to two people familiar with the matter.

Lol. "We always keep our promises." Your loss America youtu.be/37nGeXn2K9c?...

Ooh baby, the worm has turned. Liberals closing the gap and breathing on the necks of the Cons. youtu.be/sakffqWeHhY?...

We really need to ensure project built in Canada using steel and aluminum must be built with Canadian steel, public and private. Any deviation from that should be condemned by Canadians. U.S. is no longer a reliable trading partner. Be warned business leaders of the world. We need trusted partners

This was interesting: youtu.be/2xXLycFv5Gc?...

Our high commissioner has really done his bit over the last few days on comms re: US tariff tyranny. Has really earned his coin and he's done it with such joy in his heart. youtu.be/8qMI37CPmis?...

Good lord. Are there no English media at the PM's statement on the tariffs?

Another very interesting conversation on what Canada can do to offset U.S. tariffs and get Canada's economy on track. youtu.be/AKkumiBRSwQ?...

Odd to me that one man might "put asunder" our cherished relationship with the U.S. "Geography has made us neighbors. History has made us friends. Economics has made us partners. And necessity has made us allies. Those whom nature hath so joined together, let no man put asunder." -- JFK

Interesting discussion on #TheHerleBurly about tariffs, Captain Canada Doug Ford and his abject failure running #Ontario. youtu.be/EBQSlS9j8ig?...

Sparks inspired by Elizabeth May. On fire I would say.

This is so beautiful and interesting. #birds The colours. The reflection is captivating.

We still have a government, including after Parliament dissolves! There is never not a Prime Minister. Justin Trudeau is still PM right now. We always have a government in Canada, and even a 'caretaker' gov't (post-Parliament dissolving) can act in our interests on a pressing matter.

This guy’s insatiable need for attention is pathological. Sad little man.

On a walk I came across cows standing by a cool old barn. As I took photos, cow 18 demonstrated protective behaviour, shielding the others, standing between me & them, drawing them tightly together. She was a bossy old bossy, which I appreciated. Plus, 18 is one of my roulette numbers. Ha! #mammals

Merry Christmas from our family to yours. Have a joyous, safe and peaceful-filled holiday season — D.L.

Chrystia Freeland’s decision to resign as Canada’s finance minister isn’t merely a political earthquake that’s shaken Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. It’s set to change the coming trade fight between the US, Canada and Mexico

Chrystia Freeland knows how to handle autocrats and little boys like Donald Trump. Justin Trudeau doesn’t have a clue, @caroloff.bsky.social writes. www.thestar.com/opinion/cont... Find out more at Nationalnewswatch.com

Please boost if you know ANYONE in Michigan. A foreign company with a bad track record might be awarded $50 million in taxpayer dollars to open a dangerous copper mine along Lake Superior. Which could destroy one of the largest sources of fresh water in the world.

The White House burned burned burned & we're the ones that did it It burned burned burned while the president ran & cried It burned burned burned & things were very historical & the americans ran & cried like a bunch of little babies wah wah wah in the war of 1812 www.youtube.com/watch?v=sW799AwI3m0

Lunch at the meeting? Fish. Served for dinner? Fish. Baked by the fire on a remote beach? #Fish. Salmon is simply “Fish” to First Nations on West Coast Vanc. Isl #BC There is no event without it. #Food, social, ceremonial, economic. It's important to restore. Tradition #cooking #marine #photography

They don’t call it the Wet Coast for nothing. Toquart Bay on West Coast Vancouver Island (on the Ucluelet end) early morning in August. The foggy band of weather comes early in summer. Beautiful, peaceful place on the edge of the Broken Group of Islands. #marine #landscape #photography

Give me some ruins, the dilapidated, the decrepit. Like an old totem pole returning to the earth, they have stories to tell. Someone knows about their mysterious past. #photography #art #age

Just thought I'd poke my head around the feeder and say hi! #birds #wildlife #nature Yes, it's still snowing here in Ontario. Dreaming of summer. Too soon? Ya, I know it is. Stay safe and warm Bluesky friends.

On the logging trail just beyond Ehattesaht Nation, #BC there is a steep hill. A tree top is level with it and almost always has an eagle perched on it. An easy shot to take, but the road is narrow so hope there is no oncoming traffic. #BaldEagle #raptor #birds #wildlife #nature #photography

Some days you just want to turn your face to the sun and just absorb that energy. #mammals #wildlife #marine #nature #Snowday #Ontario #weather #photography

There’s this small stretch along the bumpy, potholed logging trail out of Ditidaht First Nation, #BC that I just found very magical. It’s a mossy and captivating #landscape. #photography #remote #nature #Canada is #beautiful. #Cherish it. #Protect it. Paragliders, you’ll love the beach at Ditidaht.

Love Dale's work. I get green herons in behind us at home, but never got this result when I photographed them. Will be trying harder next spring and summer.
