Somehow managed to call my NY state assembly member and senator's offices about the proposed mask ban. Senator is opposed to it, which is great. But my assembly member is a co-sponsor. The office listened to me, which I appreciate, but I don't think they're going to change their minds.

As for myself: Doc wants me to try www.inspiresleep.com/en-us/ surgery which seems to be the last option on the table. Unfortunately, I'll need that in tandem with my CPAP, and that's going to confuse insurance and cause problems. Taking it step by step.

Good news: I went for a checkup. Receptionist, nurse, and doc were all masked. I even got a compliment on my @flomask.bsky.social @nickelpin.bsky.social decals! Bad news: No one else was masked. There was a box of free masks in the lobby, but they were ineffective surgical masks.
