From earlier: #RedSox make a bullpen move, bringing in Justin Wilson per official record. Major league 1 year deal. The catch: He's really bad. 5.59 ERA in relief over 60 games. Cannot pitch left on left to save his life (???). Seems to be coming in for a mop up, Chase Anderson type role at most.

Since I did comment on Crochet earlier, I think the Red Sox could get him for the package of Wilyer Abreu, Kutter Crawford, and a collection of lower end prospects with upside (think Miguel Bleis). That trade gets them a startable pitcher who needs a change in scenery, a good hitter, and prospects.

I’ve been seeing tons of stuff linking Juan Soto to the Red Sox, and I’m super reluctant to believe it. I think there’s a better chance we trade for Garrett Crochet, honestly. But, I would not be upset at all if the Sox sign Soto. He’s exactly the hitter Boston needs.
