I beat Super Metroid today. It is a really good game, and I loved it very much, and it reminded me of how-- not unlike the assassination of JFK-- video games have a way of seeming like just a really fun pleasant time, but then suddenly they hit you with surprise emotions that you never saw coming.

To be excessively fair to "Tears of the Kingdom", sequels that clearly do not want to be sequels are a tradition in the "Zelda" series. "Zelda II: The Adventure of Link" makes no goddamn sense as a sequel to "The Legend of Zelda" (1986), which is kind of impressive given how minimal their plots are.

I'm hoping I'll be able to stream today and it won't be delayed. Our landlord has some contractors out doing inspections and work stuff to fix our water right now, so either I'll be busy with that or they'll be making lots of noise. Hopefully though they've got it all done by 4!
