I was talking to a business associate today about a project we are working on that involves a publicly traded company. He made the comment that things will right itself because the world isn't going to sit by while Trump destroys the world. Is that hope or ignorance?

Is it that the current administration believes that the people protesting didn't vote for Trump anyway so who cares about the protests? And, is the plan for things to get so bad that those who are rich can buy assets at fire sale prices when things crash?

A friend of mine from the Caribbean, a business man, who lives in the Caribbean, said to me before the election that he thought Trump will be a better president than Harris. Now the island he's from and where he lives is one of the islands being threatened by Trump. I'll call him tomorrow.

I wouldn't waste my time listening to that address, but I thought there would be posts on what was said.

Do folks realize that whoever is truly running the country is giving Trump busy work (executive orders, chair of the Kennedy Center, renaming bodies of water) and is the equivalent of giving a child toys and telling them to go play in the corner?

I am so sad that I now have to boycott the Kennedy Center. I loved attending shows there.

I find it ironic that Trump wants Canada and Greenland to become US territories or states when those citizens would most likely vote Democrat. And the immigrants he wants deported, if they became citizens, would vote Republican.

My mantra going forward for the next 4 years with this Trump administration. Not my circus, not my monkeys.

Remember when folks thought the TV show Scandal was just this far fetched piece of entertainment?

I'm going to Google, but does anyone have the names of 1 or 2 charities that I can donate toiletries to for the victims in LA. I live in the DC area.

For my mental health, there is an old Polish saying that I am going to have to adopt during the Trump administration. It goes, "Not my circus, not my monkeys."

Can we now stop saying that Nobody is above the law.

Since Trump talks about countries paying their fair share, should that process start at home? Is it true that Blue states subsidize Red States?
