The Indigenous Studies program at York was founded with much fanfare & was used to show commitment to indigenizing the academy and to decolonization. Now they're suspending admission, showing all of this so-called support is performative. Here's a statement fr the program. #academicsky

None of its a distraction. It's a Blitz. They're trying to get as much done as fast as possible before other apparatus' can limit them, & if they do enough fast enough, no one will be able to undo it because they will be overwhelmed. The distraction narrative actively aids them.
