i think google+ circles did many things right. unfortunately google starts having severe withdrawals if it doesn't kill one of its services in a while so here we are

i think it's odd that unfollowing (breaking mutuals specifically) can be seen as a bad thing. sometimes i just don't want to see someone's posts on my timeline but hold nothing against the person. so my only option is to mute & not see when they interact w/ me, which is very obviously suboptimal

thinking about how different people can be in how they experience music. for me, it can take a couple of listens to really get into something (esp if its outside of comfort zone) and i tend to return to the same tracks A LOT. on the flipside, my friend madi averages close to single listen per track

game industry is so crazy. millions of $ dumped into the most shallow, patronizing, "cinematic" triple-a experiences. game tells me what i'm supposed to do before i even get to try stuff. getting spammed by tooltips and walls of text as substitute for game design that actually lets the player learn
