I'm really loving hiking in the Sierras in Spain in February.

Hiking along a quiet trail in Spain and I came across all these trees weird trees with bark starting half way up. Apparently, they are cork trees. The bark is removed by farmers. #travel

Incredibly well preserved Roman bridge and tower here in Cordoba, Spain.

High speed train to Cordoba, Spain. Lots of great hiking here.

Traveled from Lisbon to Madrid. Lots of parks and broad streets for walking here too.

Last day in Lisbon. Nice city. Friendly people.

Puerto del Sol, Lisbon, Portugal. Nice city to wander around in.

Time for an escape from the cold. Landed in Lisbon, Portugal. Great city to walk in. Lots of parks. Barely used my Portuguese phrases. Friendly people.

Went to see Come From Away yesterday. What an awesome show. How a small Canadian town hosted 7000 passengers for 5 days during the 911 emergency is a story of true Canadian hospitality.

Today, I am thankful for bottles. So much of our stuff is in bottles. What did humanity do before? #thankful

Today, I am thankful for touchscreens. Imagine using your phone without touching the screen? #thankful

Today, I am thankful for LED lights. Incandescents were hugely inefficient and short-lived. Fluorescents buzzed. I love LEDs. #thankful

Today, I am thankful for bird feeders. It does my soul good to see to see them rambling about in the cold of winter. How their skinny legs don't freeze solid in - 30 weather, I'll never know. #thankful

A new #StarterPack of writers, well worth following, who are also seeking an agent. If you want to be included, then like, share, follow, ask in the chat, and I'll include you. And to writers/readers in general, please share so we can include more fine talents here #booksky #writing #writers #agents

Today, I am thankful for books. There was a time they were the possessions of only the very wealthy. #thankful

Today, I am thankful for cordless power tools. They have made it hugely easier to work. #thankful

Today, I am thankful for cereal. So easy. Sure beats wading through the snow to the chicken coop, gathering eggs, starting the wood oven, and frying them. #thankful

Today, I am thankful for digital cameras. It used to be you'd take 24 shoots, send the film in, wait a week and then see that you really only had 6 good ones. Now, you can take 100 shots and instantly see that you only have 6 good ones. #thankful

Today I am thankful for water bottles. I'm sure the people who make leather water pouches were good at it, but I imagine the animal hide added a little something extra to the taste of the water. #thankful
