My ideal phone would be iPhone 13 Mini sized, but just thick enough that there's no camera bump, filled with a more battery. Made of titanium. Thin bezels on top and bottom for speakers. Face ID, and the Apple logo on back is a fingerprint reader. Also a headphone jack. No one else would buy it.

The renders for iPhone 17 with that camera bump are ugly as hell. I'm guessing the real thing will look better, but still.

As a helper, I often have to practice reminding myself that I, personally, am fine; my family is fine; we are happy and whole; and I shouldn’t feel guilty about resting in that sometimes. 1/2

I know I’m not alone in this, but there’s something in particular that infuriates me about this political situation: The fact that the Republican Party has figured out – hacked, but in a legal sense – the American populace so much better than Democrats have. 1/5

Guys all text everywhere has been getting smaller recently what's going on? 👴

Your daily reminder to not comply in advance

Legendary interview from 1991. Worth watching if you’re familiar with The Highwaymen or any of its members: youtu.be/V6_FWKLuY2s?...

I still say they’re weird

"We will never allow the US to empower Israel to displace Palestinians! If anyone's going to displace the Palestinians, it's going to be us! USA USA USA!" 🤦‍♂️

"Obsession with wealth and consumerism" is a poisonous story.

I made a list of the places I most want to visit to before I die. The list would be longer, but thankfully I've already been able to go to some of my top choices: 1. Manu National Park and Cusco, Peru 2. Kyoto and Tokyo, Japan 3. Jerusalem, Israel 4. Cameron Highlands, Malaysia 1/3

Media needs to consistently follow “Dept. of Government Efficiency (DOGE)” with “an illegitimate organization that has no official authority.” Do not ever talk about this group as a real part of the Fed. Government until it’s confirmed by Congress. 1/3

Yes, this administration is dangerous and cruel, but they are also shockingly dim and incompetent. Opportunities are everywhere. Make everything as hard as possible. Resist every demand. Refuse entry without a warrant. Don’t take the buyout. Their problem solving skills are 📉

I haven’t seen anyone say this about the #Switch2 but… It LOOKS fantastic. I love just about everything about the new design in terms of visual appeal. It may launch as the best looking console on the market. Subjective, of course.

As a psychotherapist, I am very cognizant of the dangers of enabling oppressive social systems. I refuse to help people feel better about these systems. 1/2

If I had to express my deep sense of dislocation about this political moment and the national mood, I’d put it this way: I feel like the murder of a healthcare CEO probably has wider support than *actual* single payer healthcare.

I just checked, and streaming services still have Diddy's music up. I think cancel culture gets out of control sometimes, but if anyone deserves it...

One thing Android does that Apple don't is a quick, easy way to turn on a Focus mode until a certain time. I do not like that the options are: 1 hour; until this evening; until I turn it off; or going into Settings and setting up a recurring schedule. Used to always do "until [time]."

An ongoing challenge for Christians with a vivid illustration. (Image description in replies.)

Here's a faulty belief we don't talk about enough: Good/bad things come to good/bad people. So many construct their lives and worldviews around this idea, but, almost inevitably, life has a way of presenting them with a situation that doesn't reconcile with it. 1/2

Future, current, or recent parents of newborns, read this if you can. Great stuff. www.theverge.com/c/24278723/c...

again, why are we treating this like it has any legal authority?

I just love the story of Twitter seeming like lightning in a bottle, Elon accidentally buying it for way too much, ruining it, then all of us collectively rebuilding a more Elon-proof Twitter. Hope in our times.

I don’t follow “the media’s” opinions much, but it sounds like “they” are saying BlueSky is an echo chamber? Like X, Facebook, Threads, Reddit, and TikTok are not echo chambers? BlueSky is an echo chamber like Biden was too old.

Shout out to @snopes.bsky.social for this article. Exactly what I was looking for. You should really read it, but my tl;dr is that Spoonamore’s claims are based more on speculation and plausibility than the facts and certainties that he implies. www.snopes.com/news/2024/11...

I’m quite aware of the implications of doubting the election system, and I’m wary of spreading misinformation. However, I also do not want these factors to prohibit me from asking questions when it’s reasonable to do so. www.planetcritical.com/p/cyber-secu... 1/3

Does anyone else feel really uncomfortable when people comment on your social media posts when you see them irl, even if the comment is completely positive? Idk why I feel this way every time.

Top 5 Regrets of the Dying (from the book by the same name, by Bronnie Ware): 1. I wish I had the courate to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me. 2. I wish I hadn't worked so hard. 1/2

I have a handful of ideas I care a lot about. One of them is NUANCE. Dualistic, B&W thinking is like violence: it is an energetic force that begets more of itself. Most things are complicated. Few things are all good or all bad. 1/2
