In my 2008 chat with Shel Talmy I asked him what % of royalties due he'd been paid - he said "40 or 50%" Also, when he was born... answer: "1941." Which maybe wasn't 100% accurate. Very rock & roll answer. Our whole chat has been podcast today shorturl.at/YzyGp (or wherever) @wfmu.bsky.social

On Saturday's radio show I'll be chatting with Melanie Vammen about her recent project, a zine called "Melanie And Kim Mondays" which documents the incredible friendship she shared with longtime bandmate Kim Shattuck, one of my all-time favorite songwriters. It's a beautiful, moving story.
