I’m going on @29news.bsky.social’s Community Conversations at 450pm today to talk about this webinar for a few minutes. Looking forward to finding out if I can remember how to use words while on live TV!

Walking by casa bikes in Kendall Sq today, saw this Tenways box bike and it looks sharp for $5500 new. www.facebook.com/share/1FXfdP...

happy bike to school day!

local politician david shreve seems to be running on a platform of shrinking the population. i wonder who he thinks shouldn't be allowed to have kids.

for whatever reason, i hear this in brian wilson's voice, to the tune of "caroline, NO!"

ISAAC CHOTINER: It’s just interesting, because my understanding is that you had a pretty good opportunity to destroy the one ring. ISILDUR: No, that’s not— IC: O.K. I: You have to appreciate what was happening. IC: Right. You’re in Mt Doom with the ring— I: Sauron was right there! IC: Sure.

who wants to be the 500th person to sign up for the e-bike library?

We are excited to announce our next webinar! On Monday, May 12th at 630pm we will be joined by @nondriver.bsky.social, author of the excellent book “When Driving Is Not An Option,” and Charlottesville City Councilor @nat4cville.bsky.social. Sign up here: events.humanitix.com/when-driving...

UPDATE 4/10: In response to tariff changes, rising costs on components & ongoing supply chain uncertainty, we will implement a price increase effective 4/16. If you plan to buy an ebike in 2024 - Bunch or otherwise - we think ASAP is a good idea! #cargobike #ebike

I just learned that the great Sally Duncan is running for Albemarle County Board of Supervisors, just outside #Cville . I have been a fan for many years and expect great things. https://sallyforsupervisor.com/meet-sally/

Come out tonight!

And this is why Cville’s “other” libraries are so worth celebrating! Our Tool Library and Bike Library widen the shareable world beyond books.

i've been worried about tariffs since the election, and they're finally starting to affect bike prices. if i know anybody on here who's been thinking about a bike/ebike/scooter, this week might be the last chance before prices go up.

i bought some things before the mega-tariffs hit: signs for the e-bike library, a pizza steel, and the new murder mystery / biohacking / kaiju attack / maybe land use novel from @robertjbennett.bsky.social

the bike mechanics will make fun of me for saying this, but lectric is running a pretty good sale for april 1st: lectricebikes.com/products/xp-.... it's not a fancy bike, but it will get you where you're going, and i don't think i've ever seen it for a price other than $999.

Nicht nur Menschen lieben es Fahrrad zu fahren❤️

wait lol not a single major news outlet has covered HHS proposing to ban trans healthcare coverage from ACA exchanges lolol

new reason to ride an e-bike: it will get your kids to talk to you. ok, maybe not, but it's worth a try: www.theatlantic.com/family/archi....

bsky.app/profile/ever... took a crack at a better every lot detroit account. bonus: you get to see change over time with mapillary imagery

This is such a great resource from @crschmidt.net evaluating the pros/cons of various budget long tail e cargo bikes: communitypedalpower.org/blog/2025/02...
