I only heard the first Korn album, and it was so goofy, he like gets close to the mic and whispers some bullshit for 5 minutes while the bassist plucks 1 string and the drummer taps 1 cymbal, then the track gets 'heavy' and it's just a normal rock song.

Some lesser known Spiritual Jazz Favorites of mine: 1. Billy Harper: Knowledge of Self This is is totally crazy. He is so good at saxophone and has such a great backing band. I wasn't anticipating him to be so close to Coltrane in ability.

Its kind of funny how there is a guy called Dan Deacon who sounds like the Animal Collective and makes music like them but he's unrelated to the person in that band called Deacon

My yearbook keeps me informed My yearbook keeps me in line It's an obituary.

death cab for cutie the 1975 tv on the radio Am I supposed to be able to tell these bands apart?

spend 2 hours making tv static music, then spend 1 minute getting a random piece of art, then release 1 every month, art is over

I eat avant-food from the avant-garden

Sanest RYM review

@sonemic.com One of favorite death metal albums of this year, it's like their last album but even more unique and free in it's approach to composition. rateyourmusic.com/release/albu... #RYMbestof2024

Every year thousands of extremely technically gifted people get together so they can put out identical sounding dissonant death metal albums that sound like Ulcerate but less creative, unlistenable to 99.9% of people and not unique to the remaining .1%

Made a new topster

Honestly, I like the more spacey jammy sound on Europe 72' more, but this is still really good.

I Think it is more interesting to answer this literally 1. Miles Davis: The Complete Columbia Albums 2. May 1977: Get Shown the Light 3. Longmont Potion Castle: Official Compact Discography 4. Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band: Live 1975-85 5. LTJ Bukem: Logical Progression

This is the first thing I listened to to ease myself into the band, has a better recording quality than their early studio albums and it has a more succinct length than their other live releases. I think I should relisten to it, but B

Listening to all of Colour Sound Oblivion is one of my listening goals for 2025.

I think I will post a few variations of the format I'm thinking about and ask people which looks better to them and then I'll post in the decided format. Things will be a bit messy right now

269: Charles Mingus - Town Hall Concert 1964, Vol. 1 A good performance, but this sounds more like his older music than the other stuff he was doing in the 60s. B

268: Miles Davis - Live-Evil I was expecting more out of this, like other live albums from this era, this was pretty laid back trump based atmospheric music. It was chill and pretty good, just not a bombastic masterpiece like some of his other live albums. B

266/267: The Ligeti Project 3 & 4 Listening to music like this reminds me of all the other dark music I've heard and I realize this is the real thing being referenced. Ligeti's music is a masterclass in combining elements of all forms of western classical music into a holistic package. A+

265: Last Exit Very raw and noisy while still being just as cerebral as it is exciting to listen to. A

263: Casino by Al Di Meola Technical jazz fusion in the style of the Mahavishnu Orchestra, but I actually like this one more because of the latin music elements, I really enjoy that style of music.

262: Intense live Jazz Fusion. I really like these original live jams he did. A

261: Continuing on with Mahavishu Orchestra, this is similar to Birds of Fire, I guess it's tracks from that session or around it. Very technical and hot. B
