I shouldn't post late in the evening when I'm tired and have inevitably had one too many. To be boring about IT for a moment, what most CIOs fail to understand is that delivering great IT is all about enabling people to be great and creating great teams. The tech is not the hard part.

Just turned on BBC1 in preparation for Pointless only to discover they're covering some shit show in DC. Thankfully, BBC2 has bowls followed by Pointless so I'll be sticking with that to avoid the awfulness. Odd that a gameshow name should be more appropriately applied to coverage of US democracy.

At last some good news - the great #jimmyanderson will be back for Lancashire in 2025. Even the Tykes couldn't help allowing a smile to cross their face at the prospect of a true giant of the game being able to continue his illustrious career.

Have always enjoyed darts and really great to see Luke the Nuke both showing what he can do and demonstrating a fair bit of common sense. At the same time, am sad that the comparisons to the like of Taylor and Bristow don't include the great John Lowe. Still remember his first televised 9 darter.

Was amazing to have our daughter back from her first term @ Uni for Christmas. Still need to work on the OCD (really) but she's loving her course and at least it's persuaded her that we not awful and she likes us enough to give me hugs when I drive her up the M40 in snow and fog.
