I've finally started watching Severance Season 2, so I can binge all of this season in the run up to the final episode. Easily one of the best things on TV, but I'm only onto S2E03, so no spoilers please!!

What if a group of bus drivers made Alien, for the stage, with zero experience? youtube.com/watch?v=KwUH...

Mickey 17 - in cinemas ⭐⭐⭐ What if you were so down on your luck that you took a job in space, working for a guy who's like a combo of Trump and Elon. Your job, to repeatedly die for science and be resurrected by an organic 3D printer. Unique? Yep Fun? Mostly Like the premise? Watch it

Daryl Dixon S1 & 2 - Sky and NowTV ⭐⭐ Daryl does France has interesting ideas, but fumbles the ball with key new characters who just aren't that interesting. The central religious plot is dull, with storylines that create zero investment in Daryl's quest. There are fun moments, but too few so far!

Certainly glad the free Rakuten.tv movie I chose from the Octopus Energy Octoplus offers was Anora. Now I just need to find the time to watch it. If you've seen it, does it deserve its four Oscars?

I'm sorry...? I'M SORRY WHAT. This looks amaaaazing! www.youtube.com/watch?v=IkMF...

Captain America: Brave New World - in cinemas ⭐⭐⭐ Is it a return to form for Marvel? No Have we set the bar too high for Marvel after Endgame? Maybe Is this very much a Captain America movie? Yes Is it entertaining? Yes Do its flaws ruin it? Nah Mackie and Ford are great, see it for them!

From - Sky / NowTV ⭐⭐⭐ Take Lost, set it in the US, throw in some Stephen King horror vibes and you get From. It's in no rush to explain its central mystery, which may prove frustrating to some; and in the modern TV age, it feels like a throwback, but it's enjoyable with a likeable cast.

The Gorge - Apple TV+ ⭐⭐⭐ A-list actors with real chemistry, an interesting premise, solid script and decent VFX make me surprised this didn't get a limited cinema release. If you have Apple TV+ it's an enjoyable watch. If you don't, it's a good reason to get a free sub from a Currys UK purchase.

Heart Eyes - In Cinemas ⭐ A slasher rom com that's had its funny bone yanked out through its brain, forcefully attempted to be reinserted through its heart and all that's leftover is a bloody mess. Visually it succeeds, but it lacks chemistry, comedy and scares. Save your time and money.

The Apple TV app is finally on Android!!!

Nice to see the #WyattSicks glitches introduced in the #AlexaBliss match on #Smackdown. I'm keen to see where that story goes. I didn't actively watch wrestling when she was ripping it up, so I hope the hype is warranted. There was little to convince me against #CandaceLeRae, but it's early days.

Companion - in Cinemas ⭐⭐⭐ A fun feature length Black Mirror episode about the use and misuse of a life-like robot companion. While not compelling enough to see on the big screen, it's hard not to like. The problem is that in contrast to its robot antagonist/protagonist, it's difficult to love.

Sherwood - BBC iPlayer ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Delving into the societal impact and rise in criminality in an area of Nottingham suffering from deprivation after the closure of the local coal mine, Sherwood is a dark, well written British crime drama that pulls no punches and is packed with strong performances.

I used to play Magic the Gathering in the 90s and still have my cards. Teenage me would be hyped by this news...adult me knows it's a fools errand. As a brand, MtG isn't mainstream enough. D&D flopped with a great movie and bigger brand. This is DOA. www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie...

SAS Rogue Heroes - BBC iPlayer ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellently written, with stellar performances and all the kind of action you'd expect from a show about the SAS. Rogue Heroes greatest strength though, is how it beautifully conveys the darkness of war alongside lighter moments of a regiment let off the leash.

Jey and Charlotte's segments on Raw this week were great. You can't go wrong letting the emotions take control as Jey did, while Charlotte's presentation, how she embraced her role and the reaction was spot on. #WWE #WWERaw #WWEonNetflix #RawonNetflix #JeyUso #CharlotteFlair

WWE Royal Rumble 2025 - Netflix Women's Rumble ⭐⭐⭐⭐ WWE Tag Team Championship ⭐⭐⭐⭐ WWE Championship Ladder Match ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Men's Royal Rumble ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Overall ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An edge of the seat finish and consistently fantastic production. A great way to draw in the new Netflix generation.

AAA video game credits are insanely long. Yes I just finished Indiana Jones. It's like reading terms and conditions but set to music.

Skeleton Crew - Disney+ ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Knock a ⭐ off if you don't like Star Wars or Goonies because this is unashamedly a loving mashup of the two. It may not reach the heights of either, but there's plenty of fun for the whole family, with Jude Law and Nick Frost the standout piratey performances.

Has this flown under the radar? Not sure when it happened, but Disney+ UK appears to have deleted four films it backed (via ex-Fox parts of the company): Barbarian, The Banshees Of Inisherin, The Creator and Amsterdam.

Great take on the current state of fandom revealed by the reaction to the latest TV Spot for @jamesgunn.bsky.social #Superman. #Comics #FilmSky kotaku.com/superman-tea...

Trying to focus our TV watching to one show at a time so we don't suffer from streaming paralysis every night with the plethora of choice. After wrapping up Silo, we've now moved onto SAS Rogue Heroes Season 2 because I can never get enough of Jack O'Connell. What are you watching?

Silo - Apple TV+ ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A beautifully presented, slow burn post-apocalyptic show that works its claws into you episode by episode and never lets go. Always intriguing with excellent performances, season 2 goes deeper with its characters and opens the door to the truth just that little bit wider.

The Crow Girl - Paramount+ ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Eve Myles shines in this six part British crime drama based on a Scandinavian book series; and while part of me wishes this production was a Scandi drama, it is still a thoroughly enjoyable adaptation, with a smart satisfying finale that peels a layer off the onion.

Filtering all things politics from my social feeds was one of the best life choices I've ever made. It's not worth the constant stress. It's a rigged game, either devote your life to fighting it or devote your life to ignoring it (*). The middle ground is far too messy. * Always vote though.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds - Paramount+ ⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you enjoy the funny, camp nature of Star Trek and long for past shows with memorable characters and relationships, this has all of it. Recognisably the most Trek of all recent shows, with a great cast, fun stories and good VFX work.

We Live In Time - in Cinemas ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Given my wife survived breast cancer, it's hard to be objective; particularly on the day of her annual mammogram, but the screenplay and performances are faultless, resonant and truthful. There are delightful lighter moments, but pack tissues, lots of them.

Better Man - in Cinemas ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Robbie who? America asks. Robbie f'in Williams, that's who! Not that they'll care, nor should we want them to. Robbie's musical biopic is warts and probably not quite all, but shake your ass, come over here; and watch him bare his soul. Kettle's on, so don't be long

A Real Pain - in Cinemas ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ #JesseEisenberg deserves so many awards for this beautiful creation and #KeiranCulkin deserves all the rest for playing a role you simply can't imagine anyone else embodying so perfectly. Joy, sadness, love and hate in equal measure; a triumph. #ARealPain #Movies

The data is in. 2024 was the warmest year on record, and probably in the whole of human history – about 1.6°C warmer than the pre-industrial period. More than 1 billion individual thermometer measurements have been condensed into a single vital number. theconversation.com/my-new-dark-...

Se7en (remastered) - Cinemas ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ David Fincher's serial killer masterclass remains as powerful and macabre 30yrs on from its original release. This remaster has only helped solidify it as a classic, with Pitt and Freeman shining in every grimy scene. Filthy, beautiful and influential.

WWE Raw - Netflix Intro ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Solo v Roman ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Liv v Rhea ⭐⭐⭐ Drew v Jey ⭐⭐⭐ Seth v Punk ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Overall ⭐⭐⭐⭐ As an intro to current superstars and feuds, the variety of talent WWE has and getting people invested to tune in next week, I think it failed; but for existing/old fans, it was fun.

Nosferatu - in Cinemas ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A theatre-like experience of gothic horror storytelling, #Nosferatu is a beautiful film, that perfectly captures a foreboding mood, just don't expect many scares. #Depp, #Dafoe and #Skarsgard give compelling performances, but be prepared for things to get a bit icky.

Black Doves - Netflix ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Genuinely shocked this is on #Netflix, given it really isn't a show you can afford to look away from. #Knightly and #Wishaw have fantastic chemistry in a British spy thriller with delightful comedic moments, genuine heart and well choreographed action. #BlackDoves #TV

A cracking game for neutrals at #Anfield today. Not a classic and not a great #Liverpool performance, but a match that could have gone either way. #Utd, given recent performances, should walk away happier. Still top of the league, now a point better off and with a game in hand. 🤞

Booked a package deal with British Airways to Riga in March. 3 nights flying back on April 1st. Well I guess the jokes on me as they've cancelled the return flight and booked us to come back a day earlier, making the trip pretty much pointless. Won't be flying BA again.

Doctor Who - Joy to the Worlds (Christmas Special 2024) - BBC & Disney+ ⭐⭐⭐ Ncuti continues to be the best thing to happen to Doctor Who in a while and I'm sure an even bigger future beckons. His performances elevate every silly adventure; with this one providing plenty of Christmas cheer.

Gladiator 2 - in cinemas ⭐⭐⭐ Not as good as the first, but thoroughly enjoyable regardless, even with shark sillyness. A well made spectacle, worth seeing on the big screen, just lacking that bit of magic. Denzel steals every scene. #Gladiator #GladiatorII #Gladiator2 #RidleyScott #Movies #Films

2025 is off to a good start, #Netflix is now loaded with #WWE content! #ProWrestling #Wrestling #Raw #Smackdown #NXT #CodyRhodes #Gunther #LivMorgan #NiaJax
