One art I could never attempt is glassblowing. 1) I'm terrified of fire/getting burned. 2) The way they twirl and throw around molten glass like nbd... and then the amount the glass will inevitably break - ANXIETY INDUCING. But man is it a pretty art form to watch.

The betrayal when your "little treat" turns into heartburn.

My phone auto updated and now @thestorygraph.com won't load. Anyone else?

Every little bit counts! The Reddit post has links to all three, so be sure to catch 'em all!

Tonight's (very scary) read is In Her Garden by Abigail Gloom ( @abigailgloom.bsky.social ) This thread will contain spoilers!

Today I told someone their "guts were right" rather than they had an "correct gut reaction"... and I would like fade into oblivion now, please.

Nothing reminds me that my partner is a high school educator more than on school holidays, he comes to check on me every 45-60 minutes. All that's missing the class bell to signal he's on his way. I don't even think he realizes he misses the little micro socializing he gets with his coworkers.

My Bloody Valentine weekend has wrapped up with several fun additions - the Final Girl game and watching Heretic among the highlights. Shout out to my partner (who doesn't use social media) for being the greatest and making my birthday/Valentine's weekend special. ❀️🌹🩸

Tapping the sign wearily

People who belittle folks for enjoying games and books and creative pursuits confuse me. Like, what's the alternative? Raw dogging reality? No thank you. I'll leave you to your miserable existence. I'm too busy chasing dragons.

Describe yourself using 5 things that are probably in your purse/backpack at any given moment 1. Ear plugs (noise cancelling for ostim days) 2. Ear buds (to drown out reality) 3. Receipt from yesterday's take out 4. Pen that doesn't work 5. 124646 lipstick/chapstick/gloss

Fascism hates empathy, compassion, & especially joy birthed by human creativity. When we make, share, & experience art it sparks + preserves + spreads joy. Art (and joy) are revolutionary acts - as we make it, as we are moved by it, & as we celebrate our collective humanity when we connect with it

Every morning I wake up the news gets more and more ridiculousβ€”and more and more terrifying.

Happy Full Moonβ€”the Snow Moonβ€”my birthday moon, to everyone out there who needs a little hope, a little boost, a little support. It's not much, but she's still there. πŸŒ•

I think, starting next week, I'm going to start replacing scrolling with playing solo TTRPGs. I have so many saved and from bundles, I need to start setting aside time to try them out πŸ‘€

I've been struggling with moving my body in a way that promotes good health and feels good. Today I decided to go on a walk to get my step goal but I made it about books a writing. It's the way I'm going to use my audio book hours + use it to brainstorm my own writing away from my computer.

I've been playing TTRPGs for over half a decade now but today was my first IN PERSON game and y'all... I love this hobby.

Something I'm keeping in mind for 2025: debate, but don't argue with someone who doesn't value other opinions.

Took the week off to go see a show in Seattle, got snowed in at home, ended up sleeping for most of it. Can't remember what day of the week it is, let alone the year. It was almost nice until I looked at the headlines and remembered we live in a dystopic society again.

PSA if you’ve been trying to force yourself to Make A Phone Call to contact your representatives for days and not quite getting there, you can email them. They receive written messages too. It’s okay to be imperfect rather than stuck in a guilt spiral that exhausts you and goes nowhere. democracy.io

The biggest Aquarius energy I bring is looking at every Aquarius meme and thinking "I'm not like that. I'm interesting not weird," while simultaneously doing some very weird shit.

Hey. Trans people. Mwah.

Yes folks please process that what’s happening right now is that Mr Nazi Salute has access to the personal information of every Jew in America, along with every person who gets/has gotten disability benefits, and so on The Holocaust was an administrative process that included lists of targets

Ok #booksky, I'm curious: what's your take on book introductions? Don't read them? Leave them until after you've read the book? Skip them altogether. I'm about to start The Haunting of Hill House and I just want to dive in.

It was never about "the emails". It was never about our data in the hands of the CCP. If you thought it was, then you're a fool who fell into their trap. www.theguardian.com/technology/2...

On May 10, 1933, Nazis burned the library of The Institute for Sexual Science. The Institute was founded by Dr. Magnus Hirschfeld. Its community clinic pioneered healthcare for queer, trans, & intersex people. The Institute was targeted & attacked as part of a Nazi government censorship program.
