Yesterday's "Arctic walk" in a local park. I was told that is now an "old fashioned winter",like when we were kids". I don't remember blasts upon blasts like this,wild swings of temps.,ice like this.This is different. (Gus,Blade,Tru)

Walking in the Berkshire Hills of Massachusetts.The long winter is slowing down or postponing what I do for a living,so might as well enjoy. It's still 7 days a week though with the sheep, poultry and dogs. But enjoying the time better without Meta. 👍

Our ingenious hens find forage despite all the snow we have.They have plenty of food in the chicken house where it is snug and warm but they love to go about looking for their own feed,here and there.

Observation...working with " these dogs" (Border Collies)you can learn to read body language . Here Tru shows her careful consideration of the sheep she is working with. All three ewes in the frame are reacting differently to her. She and I together observe and take the next step to move the sheep.
