Morning walk on the land! I see the treetops and the sky in this silvery dew drop! 😍 #naturewalk #slowdown #slowliving #homesteadlife #simplicity #aftertherain

I run a remote home design studio focused on protecting #wildlife in the process. If this is intriguing: what kind of help/service would you say a big 'hell yes' to? No pressure, just researching here. I want to offer whats useful to my fellow #naturelovers, #conservationists & #environmentalists!

Was drawing a new home's site plan + floorplan, then stopped...pondered: Could a fox pass through this property safely? Or is it getting pushed to the road? Once you notice how homes displace wildlife, you can’t unsee it. Design changes. So do your questions! #wildlife #habitatloss #conservation

I used to think my #sensitivity was a weakness. Caring 'too much' about #animals, or crying over a cut #tree, made me 'soft.' But it gave me vision! I see what others overlook & act on it. If you ever feel like you #care more than the world wants you to- good. Youre still awake. Don’t numb, #build.

Every time a home is built, wildlife is affected. But we don’t give them a voice in the process. That’s what I do. I bring their reality into the room, and then we design like it matters.

I don’t offer mood boards and good vibes. I offer hard data, uncomfortable truths, and a new way forward that respects wild lives. If that makes my work niche, good. Niche is just another word for uncompromising.

I make it easier for people to stop making harmful choices. Most of us would avoid harm if we actually knew the cost. So I show them.. clearly, without spin.. and then I help them choose better. That’s my job.

I live in peace. I live slow. I’m gentle with how I move through the world. But my work is sharp. I cut through the noise and niceties to protect what can’t speak: wildlife. Habitat. What’s left. There’s nothing soft about that.

If you were building or renovating a home right now: Would you want to know which materials caused habitat loss? Would you want to know what died so you could have that stone, wood, or finish? Or would you rather not know?

I don’t design homes that are sustainable. I design homes that don’t evict wildlife in the first place. Because there’s a difference between feeling better and doing less harm. And I’m only interested in the second one.

“Eco-friendly” design often protects your image more than it protects wildlife. If you want a home that actually leaves animals alone, it takes asking harder questions. Where did this material come from? What had to die or move so I could have it? Not all green is good. Start with #habitat.

This blog is about 1 thing: helping you design a home that protects wildlife, because Wildlifeel at Home ought to be an accessible resource for you to actively adopt any day, not just a method you gain when you hire the studio. Please enjoy & share if you do. #blog #wildlifeconservation #homedesign

We want to exist in a way that feels deserved, like we’re giving more than we take. But existence itself has an impact. The key isn’t to erase our footprint. It’s to make it a worthy one. The question isnt only “How do we strain the earth less?” but “How do we ensure our existence benefits it more?”

#LightsOutForBirds They're completing epic marathons to live their lives and enrich ours. We can all help

I’m passionate about protecting both sides of this: I want *your* home to reflect what you value most, and I want #wildlife to keep the #homes they’ve *always* had, the homes they deserve to keep. #designwithwildlifeinmind #challengeaccepted #empowercompassion

We ought to look at materials and ask not just what it’s made of but what habitat was lost to get it. It needs to consider the animal, not just the metric. It needs to help people help wildlife, right where they are. #buildingimpact #materiallibrary #getgranular #wildlives #wildlifestories

It’s okay to build something that doesn’t exist yet. It’s okay to notice what’s been overlooked. And it’s okay to stay focused even when the world wants you to go wide. #keepgoing #notestomyself #workingforwildlife

Most “eco” homes still harm wildlife. Solar panels & FSC wood don’t erase the loss of animal homes. If you care about wildlife, look beyond human-centered metrics. The real impact? It’s in the habitats we quietly erase when we build. #wildlifefriendly #homedesign #naturalhabitats #greenbuilding #FSC

I ❤️starting the #creative process. Big concepts, loose sketches. Worked on this #addition & #remodel just outside my #cabin, in my personal park of #evergreens w/ a fluffy white #chicken named Shadow by my side & a #hummingbird buddy showing off his zippy skills. #feelingaligned #forhomeandhabitat

The more I think about it, the more it becomes clear.. Nature just needs us to see it. To stop thinking we have the right to control its rhythm. To just be with it. We’re part of it. No more, no less.. There's such a quiet power there. #leavenaturealone #protectwildlife #hugatree #natureismedicine

It’s hard to put your heart into something and still feel like you’re not making the #impact you want..but I keep showing up. Because what else is there to do?🌿Protecting #wildlife is my life, doing it through #homedesign is my biggest passion. There's nothing better than that mix for me. #dreams 🫶

Some days I think about how much more I could do if I just had more hours. Then I step outside, watch the deer in the yard, and realize I don’t need more hours, I need more presence. So much to learn from wildlife if we just slow down. 🐢 Try to do it today, my friends! #slowliving #slowdown #gentle

They're popping up everywhere! 🥰 Little and gorgeous. #flowers #springtime #bringersofjoy
