Popped over to Leamington light show in Jephson Gardens. Brightening up a February evening.

Lucky me got to spend the day out in Stratford helping lay a hedge. I did mostly clearing & thinning the hedge prior to it being laid. I also got to put the stakes in πŸ˜€ 2nd photo is the less glamorous side of it! πŸ˜† #hedgelaying

On house of games show just now only 1 person could identify the Red Admiral butterfly out a selection of 6. That’s kinda sad πŸ˜• here are 4 of the 6 - can you ID the Red Admiral? (My own photos) #butterflies

Back at Hay Wood today. Busy clearing the felled birch trees. Lots of walking, dragging & throwing trees around! πŸ’ͺ Habitat work for butterflies and other wildlife with @bcwarwickshire.bsky.social #volunteer #butterflies

Gorgeous blue skies today, cold and fresh too! Ponds had a layer of frozen ice on top. Lovely day to be out working in the wood.

What better than some tree planting on #valentinesday?! Showing my love of fruit trees 🌳 🍎 #trees #orchards

You complete my life-cycle πŸ’• One of the best ways to help moths thrive is by growing their favourite food plants. #MoonMeadows #MothsMatter

I could watch this caterpillar crawl past all day πŸ˜€πŸ›

A lovely quote indeed and some delightful Apple photos ❀️

Clear up duty today! We were at Hay Wood (near Baddesley Clinton) today clearing all the young birch growth that the Forestry contractors had cut down to keep the rides wide and open. Lots done but plenty more to do! @bcwarwickshire.bsky.social

Witch hazel looking fabulous right now! Check out this beauty in Jephson Gardens, Leamington Spa.

Cold and grey day so a trip into Leamington Spa to look at ducks, snowdrops and have a fancy cuppa with cake.

Lovely & crisp morning planting a new orchard in Leamington πŸŽπŸ˜€ The wonderful community all came out to help. 25 fruit trees were planted including Apples - Bramley Seedling, Wyken Pippin, Worcester Pearmain, Warwickshire Drooper plum, Pears, Cherry, Greengage, Damsons, Quince and Mulberry. #fruit

Ta dah! The Gansey Flatfish! Sporting the fashionable β€˜wave’ pattern. Is any home complete without a flatfish? Interesting knit pattern from @wee-ewe-knits.bsky.social Now what colour / pattern do I make next…. #knit #fish #flatfish

Common grey disco fungi spotted today at Weston Wood. Not a fancy as Yellow disco but we can’t all be flashy yellow! #fungi #disco

Another great day volunteering with Warwickshire Butterfly Conservation ! Busy at Weston Wood clearing a plot, creating log piles & burning brash. Weston wood is home to the Purple Emperor butterfly πŸ¦‹#volunteer #butterflies @bcwarwickshire.bsky.social @savebutterflies.bsky.social

I was looking for Purple Hairstreak eggs & spotted this. I wonder if it could be a caterpillar πŸ€” but hard to tell but any thoughts appreciated. @ukbutterflies.bsky.social

Ohhh! 2 different but equally lovely mosses! The Wall-screw moss looks like it is on fire & Grey-cushioned Grimmia soft and cuddly. #mosses #onthewall

Popped into Draycote water as the sun was shiny. Some nice ducks floating, splashing and diving. I am sure you can appreciate the lovely Goldeneye’s, grebes & tufted ducks from my pics! #worldwetlandday #ducks
