Thibs said both OG Anunoby and Miles McBride will both be game-time decisions.

Not a huge update on Larry Nance Jr. and Vit Krejci. But per league source, they’re both undergoing further testing today.

Trae Young (right Achilles tendinitis) is available. Earlier this afternoon the Hawks announced Terance Mann is also availble.

The Hawks have officially waived Bones Hyland.

For tonight’s game — Hawks at Wizards: Trae Young (right Achilles tendinitis) is probable. Kobe Bufkin (right shoulder surgery) is out. Bones Hyland (trade pending) is out. Jalen Johnson (left shoulder surgery) is out. Terance Mann (trade pending) is questionable.

Hello there! Looks like Clint Capela will be back tonight. He was back on the bench last night and the Hawks did not list him on the injury report for tonight’s game against the Wizards.

Asked by @williamslaurenl.bsky.social about playing with Trae Young, Georges Niang said "I'm just glad I don't have to guard him." Niang said that it seemed like every time he had to defend Young, he ended up fouling him.

The Hawks have officially announced that Jalen Johnson will have surgery on his left shoulder and that he is done for the season. Johnson will have surgery next week.

Pool report from @williamslaurenl.bsky.social is out for the double technical call at end of the game.

If he maintains his pace, Dyson Daniels would become the youngest qualified player to ever average 3+ steals per game in a season. 👀 🔗 stathead.com/tiny/QFb5V

Per the Hawks, forward Jalen Johnson left Thursday night’s game vs. Toronto after sustaining a left shoulder injury during the second quarter. He will be listed as out as he undergoes further medical testing and evaluation. His injury and status will be updated as appropriate.

Hawks injury report for tonight against the Clippers: Questionable Trae Young (right hand contusion) Jalen Johnson (right shoulder soreness) Bogdan Bogdanovic (injury management; left lower leg contusion) Out Larry Nance Jr. (hand) Kobe Bufkin (shoulder) Cody Zeller (NWT)

No worries at all! The Hawks have said Trae Young, Bogdan Bogdanovic and Jalen Johnson are all good to play today.

The Hawks ruled out Jalen with shoulder soreness

I have not heard anything indicating that the Hawks are shopping Capela. That does not mean that they’re not open to offers. As for Zeller, the last I’ve heard is they’re exploring all of their options.

Definitely will report as soon as I learn anything!

Trae Young (right heel contusion) questionable for Saturday, per @williamslaurenl.bsky.social #FantasyBasketball #NBA

Trae Young might be heading to another planet. He's got 13 points in the 3Q. Just gave the Hawks an 87-85 lead

HALF: Hawks 64, Lakers 64 The Hawks scored 38 points in the second quarter. Trae Young has 9 assists in the first half. De'Andre Hunter leads the Hawks in scoring with 10 points.

1Q: Lakers 29, Hawks 26 Hawks made 2 fewer FGs than the Lakers but the ball game at the moment is them letting the Lakers get out on the fast break. The Lakers scored 10 fast break points in the 1Q

Zeller is very much alive.

Hawks list Trae Young as probable for Friday’s game against the Lakers.

Hawks guard Trae Young is available tonight in Milwaukee.

Millsap: "We wish we woulda had five with DeMarre (Carrol). But just to see those guys, in the same locker room and have an All-Star appearance with three of your teammates because you know that you guys played the right way, you did right things to win." ajc.com/sports/atlan...

Millsap: “I don’t think coming in, they knew, you know, I was gonna be that good. I don’t think I knew I was gonna be that good. But (Bud) definitely wanted me to expand my game out and stretch the floor a little bit more and do a little bit more playmaking."

Hawks injury report tomorrow’s game at Milwaukee: Trae Young (right Achilles tendinitis) is probable. Cody Zeller (not with team) is out.

For tomorrow’s Hawks game vs. Pelicans: Bogdan Bogdanovic (right hamstring; injury management) is probable. Trae Young (right Achilles tendinitis) is probable. Cody Zeller (not with team) is out.

Wanted to share this quote from JB Bickerstaff (via Pistons PR) because I think it illustrates something the NBA needs to fix. The league has all these rules about participation and this new spectacle in the NBA Cup yet they don’t make it any easier for teams to follow them.

FINAL: Hawks 107, Hornets 104 The Hawks escape with this one after struggling to put the Hornets away. They move to 10-11 after winning 3-straight games. And they snapped a 3-game road losing streak to the Hornets. This is the first time they've won in Charlotte since Dec. 16, 2022.

Vit Krejci has kind of helped to settle the frenetic energy. Onyeka Okongwu is getting some good looks down low and has found some good defensive rhythm. All of these guys have helped power an 18-5 run to put the Hawks up 89-81

9:46, 4Q -- The Hawks have gotten some good minutes from the young guys on the bench to sort of right the ship. Jalen Johnson just had a huge block to stop a Nick Smith Jr. layup. Kobe Bufkin has made some solid reads and has some nice defensive possessions.
