Back in HS I fell in love with the original broadway A Chorus Line soundtrack and still listen to it every now and then and yet have somehow never seen the actual show. Still holding a grudge the VP wouldn’t let me perform Dance: Ten; Looks: Three in drag for the talent show. Woulda been glorious.

I’m halfway through and thoroughly enjoying Heavenly Tyrant, especially as every other line is incredibly quotable and applicable to the rampant greed and corruption of our world. Dangerously inspiring work.

Hey @djjohnrichards.bsky.social , if a donor donated enough to cover KEXP for a year, would y’all still do the drives? There’s a lot of community benefits to them aside from the $ they bring in, so I’d assume so… but what kinds of awesome would you do with all that extra cash?

I don’t know what this says about me but the two songs that are most frequently stuck in my head are Replica by Sonata Arctica and the Doc McStuffins theme. I can usually purge the loops by mentally blasting Dethklok’s Go Into the Water. It’s pretty weird in here, man.

A book scene that’s stuck with me is the Thor-like character who hung out with Drizzt singing battle hymns while pulling sails tight against impossible winds. Felt like that today towards the end of a 10mi #run, climbing 400’ in a mile, singing along to @dragonforce.com ‘s The Last Dragonborn. 🤘

Every time I wipe down equipment at the gym…

Dropped a few pints today, @littlestcabbage.bsky.social . My veins received lots of compliments as usual.

Hell yeah

I once saw a clip showing the spectrum as a circle with different traits taking up different sizes of the pie, & each person’s spectrum circle could look wildly different. It made WAY more sense than the linear left/right line that usually comes to mind when I see the word spectrum.

25 minutes of Daveed Diggs taking about the latest clipping album is a treat: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/a...

I miss George Carlin.

After a few attempts over the years I finally stuck with Dune, finished it, and see what all the fuss is about. I was too impatient in the past, too immature to handle the family dynamics. This time I came to it with more years behind me, a family of my own, & a BS in Environmental Science. So good.

The envelope sent to you that contains the mail-in ballot and return envelope ought to change color as the due date comes nigh, like web browsers do when they’re in dire need of an update.

This level of zoom breaks my brain. … and reminds me that everyone should listen to @imaginaryadvice.bsky.social ‘s latest episode, Rule of Thirds. It’s wonderfully weird.

Sometimes I wish I could take advantage of the space between atoms to put my contacts on without taking my glasses off, but I’m sure I would think about an itch on my foot & the shock of my foot dropping through the floor would break my concentration & the pain would prevent me from getting it back

I think if I get to the point of having a table at a book conference I’ll bring my Smess board and get to know people that way. Oh! “Hot Smess” , title for a spicy rom com at a Smess tournament?

Really enjoyed this interview about a book of interviews that I’ll be into viewing at my local shop. Nailed it.
