A good summation of where we are with season 2 of #severance. Which, after episode 8 of 10, is desperately in need of some of its mojo back… www.forbes.com/sites/erikka...

Treating the 15yo to dinner in the pub watching Scotland v Wales, before a first viewing of The Sixth Sense. It is a chilling horror tale with a twist at the end, that leaves you feeling both uneasy with what you’ve seen unfold, and strangely grateful. And now we’ll watch the film. #sixnations

Christmas present…

To be fair, who amongst us is *not* trying to build a North African militia as a side hustle?

This. 100%.

From the terrace at the RCA Rausing Building in Battersea.

If you’ve got $20,000 a month to spend on a “PhD level” ai agent, just hire a person.

I think we have to all replace our Lorraine Kellys in the house.

“I can’t believe more people aren’t buying these wonderful clothes” exclaimed the emperor. www.theguardian.com/technology/2...

Londoning.

Trudeau: We’re probably going to keep booing the American anthem. But let me tell Americans, we're not booing you. We're booing a policy that is designed to hurt us.  But we're Canadian. We're going to fight. And we're going to win.

*record scratch* Yep, that’s me. You may be asking ‘how did I, a handsome nuthatch, come to be feeding on these sunflower hearts… well, let me take you back…” #ukbirds

I have this feeling that over the next few weeks I might like to note and mark what I was doing five years ago. Because it is big and real and still feels incredibly present in our lives. I'll use the hashtag #fiveyearson which as far as I can tell is only used about Covid. Do mute if you need.

To contribute to #fiveyearson - on 10th March 2020 I was coming back through a near-empty Schiphol airport in Amsterdam at ‘rush-hour’, having been visiting @changeist.bsky.social & @scoxsmith.bsky.social, workshopping some early thoughts on redteaming setups… the first masks I had seen in the wild.

Idly wondering about de-USAing our Smithery tech stack. Move from Wordpress to Ghost (Singapore HQ). Gmail to Protonmail (Switzerland). That kinda thing. Someone’s put together a reference site for this kind of thing of course. european-alternatives.eu/product/prot... Any other recommendations?

One for @sussexwildlife.bsky.social - a little egret has spent the day feeding on the common area on our estate in Lindfield

“A chance to see one of the greatest British bands of the last 30 years – before they turn us into holograms.” I defy you not to love The Beta Band…

Good morning.

Good man Myles.

Naan alert.

Delighted to be launching the Futures Through Design, a three-day Exec Ed course, with the Royal College of Art this July in collaboration with my good friend @robdphillips.bsky.social www.rca.ac.uk/study/progra... All resharing for reach much appreciated. #futures #designfutures #foresight

Yeah we’re not playing this fucking game this time. Trump was already president once. No fucking excuses. If you voted for Trump, you knew what you were voting for even if you were too stupid to understand it might have a negative impact on your own life.

And now Microsoft announce they’re closing Skype. Three signals - something is *up*

Update on this: real vibe shift this morning in an AI chat group I’m part of, particularly with regards to OpenAI (massive cost of new service vs what it actually does well). Something is in the water, whether it’s real or perceived.

From the flagship Microsoft store at Oxford Circus in London, which just closed. Add this to the signal of Microsoft pulling out of AI data centre contracts earlier this week. You know, maybe something’s up…

Fantastic Day with #designfutures #MDes #RoyalCollegeofArt working with the #helenhamylncentre. Thank you #Chris McGinley, #beatricesangster, @willsh.bsky.social , #CarlaAmaral & #EliseHodson #brilliant day trialling #prototyping #making and some good #smiles #research led #teaching #workshop

I see Kemi Badatthis is at it again #PMQs
